The Green Room 42 presents FAR FROM CANTERBURY: In Concert on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 8:00 pm. Winner of 'Outstanding Overall Musical' at the 2015 New York Fringe Festival, FAR FROM CANTERBURY tells a reimagined version of 'The Wife of Bath's Tale' from Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, and features book, music and lyrics by Danny K Bernstein (2017 Jonathan Larson Award Finalist), direction by Charlie Johnson (Beatsville, CHARLIE! Anything But Basic), and music direction by Jeff Cox. This new expanded story takes place once upon a time, in a land where fairy tales are considered current events, where we follow a shy young knight who dreams of one day having a fairy tale of his own. However, his world is shaken when he's suddenly accused of committing a violent crime against a princess from a neighboring kingdom. This concert presentation focuses on the first half of the story.

Today, Tuesday, August 15 at 6:15pm, the producers of the Olivier Award-winning Best New MusicalGroundhog Day, which opened on Broadway to critical acclaim this spring, announced that the show will end its run at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street) on Sunday, September 17, following 176 performances and 32 previews.
Following the lead of many other Broadway musicals such as Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, and Great Comet, cast members from Groundhog Day have decided to take part in the #Ham4All challenge -- but with a twist! Instead of the typical cover of a Hamilton track, the Groundhog Day cast decided to make a mashup music video with the backbone being My Shot and incorporating lyrics and melodies from songs from their own show.
