Theater of War Productions and the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, in partnership with National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, will present a reading of scenes from Peter Weiss' play The Investigation, a searing piece of documentary theater adapted from the Frankfurt Auschwitz Trials of 1963-65 when 22 mid- and lower-level Nazi officials were tried for crimes against humanity in the Auschwitz-Birkenau complex.

Charly Evon Simpson was the recipient of the 2019-20 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award. She was presented with the award at The Vineyard's annual Emerging Artists Luncheon on Monday, November 25 at the National Arts Club.

Roundabout Theatre Company will host their fifth annual Casino Night, at the American Airlines Theatre (227 W. 42nd St). All proceeds benefit Roundabout Theatre Company's many programs, including the Education programs, the Theatrical Workforce Development Program and Artist Residencies.

Flashback to the '90s with NO ALTERNATIVE, starring Harry Hamlin (TVs “Law & Order,” “Mad Men”), Kathryn Erbe (“Law & Order,” “Oz”), up-and-comers Michaela Cavazos and Conor Proft, Chloe Levine (TVs “The Defenders”), and Aria Shahghasemi (TVs “Legacies”). Directed by William Dickerson and based on his book of the same name, NO ALTERNATIVE is a teen drama that drills a hole into the world of suburban American teenagers in the early '90s and is set against a backdrop steeped in grunge and punk rock music. NO ALTERNATIVE is Dickerson's fourth feature film, the others being Detour, The Mirror and Don't Look Back.   

The Trustees of The Laurents / Hatcher Foundation, Inc. are pleased to announce that Something Clean by SELINA FILLINGER is recipient of the Laurents / Hatcher Foundation Award. Ms. Fillinger will receive $50,000 for the work, and Roundabout Theater Company, who will produce the premiere this spring, will receive $100,000 towards the production.

Barrow Street Theatricals announced today the rotating cast of guest actors through the middle of February for the American premiere of the Nassim Soleimanpour and Bush Theatre production of NASSIM by celebrated Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour (White Rabbit Red Rabbit), featuring direction by Omar Elerian.
