PTC's Hello, Dolly!, led by Broadway actress and Emmy-nominated television host Paige Davis in the titular role of Dolly Levi, opened last night, May 13! Directed and choreographed by PTC Artistic Director Karen Azenberg, this turn-of- the-century romance bursting with some of the best-known showtunes of all time will run through May 28, 2022.

PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY (PTC), Salt Lake City's fully professional regional theatre, has announced the four titles and authors to be included in this season's PLAY-BY-PLAY new play reading series to be held June 9 through June 18, 2022, in the Babcock Theatre level of the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.

Pioneer Theatre Company presents the Utah premiere of an unconventional love story written by MATTHEW BARBER, FIREFLIES. Based on the novel ELEANOR AND ABEL by Annette Sanford, Fireflies premiered in 2017 at Long Wharf Theatre and will run at Pioneer Theatre Company April 1 - 16, 2022.

SOMETHING ROTTEN! has finally made its debut at Pioneer Theatre Company after two pandemic-induced postponements since the spring of 2020, and it brings pent-up energy, joy, laughter, and love of the theatre. 

Pioneer Theatre Company has cast Broadway actress, and Emmy-nominated television host, PAIGE DAVIS as Dolly Gallagher Levi in the upcoming musical production HELLO, DOLLY!. The record-setting Broadway musical will be the professional regional theatre's closing musical for the current season, and will run from May 13 through May 28, 2022.

 PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY presents SOMETHING ROTTEN! February 25 - March 12, 2022. Something Rotten! was originally scheduled for production in the spring of 2020, and was interrupted by the pandemic. It was then scheduled for the spring of 2021, and again was postponed.

Almost two years after its new play reading was interrupted by the pandemic in March 2020, Pioneer Theatre Company presents the world premiere of THE MESSENGER by award-winning playwright JEFF TALBOTT. The main stage production will open January 14, 2022 and will run through January 29, 2022.

Alan Muraoka of 'Sesame Street' directs the production, which includes a 31-member cast and a 17-piece orchestra.  

Ellen Simon, who is the daughter of famed playwright Neil Simon, kindly opened up to BroadwayWorld about ASS, its delayed opening, her friend and collaborator PTC artistic director Karen Azenberg, and the impact of their fathers’ careers on their own.

The world premiere of Ass, a comedy by successful playwright and screenwriter ELLEN SIMON, will finally open at PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY (PTC) on OCTOBER 22 and will run through NOVEMBER 6, 2021. Its original 2020 world premiere was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rowdy and fun, AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' is our joyous celebration of the return of theatre.
