OSCAR at The Crown, a new immersive nightclub musical, will celebrate its official opening night tonight, Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 3 Dollar Bill (260 Meserole Street, Brooklyn, NY). From the minds of performance collective, The Neon Coven, OSCAR at The Crown was created by Mark Mauriello, features music and choreography by Andrew Barret Cox, and direction by Shira Milikowsky. The immersive musical returns for an open-ended run after a sold out and critically acclaimed run January February.

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning by the current stars of Waitress, Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan, at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online here at BroadwayWorld.

The acclaimed production of Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song ends its run today, January 6, 2019 at the Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street). The play will embark on a national tour launching fall 2019 at Los Angeles' Center Theatre Group at the Ahmanson Theatre. The national tour will star Michael Urie, reprising his lauded Broadway performance as Arnold Beckoff.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, husband Justin Mikita, and their non-profit advocacy organization, Tie The Knot, are happy to announce their newest limited edition bowtie launching on November 1. The latest addition will honor the triumphant return to Broadway of Harvey Fierstein's iconic Tony-winning play Torch Song. The design will also add the show's star Michael Urie to Tie The Knot's extensive list of guest designers. The Torch Song bow tie will be available exclusively at the Hayes Theater store and online at The Tie Bar, with $20 of every $25 purchase will be donated directly back to Tie The Knot.

Last night in New York, Lambda Legal, the nation's oldest and largest LGBT legal organization, hosted the 2018 National Liberty Awards, honoring former Lambda Legal attorney and founder of Freedom to Marry, Evan Wolfson. The Liberty Awards National Dinner honors advocates, activists and allies in the fight for LGBT equality.

A Legacy of Changing Lives, presented by the Fulfillment Fund, will honor the legacy of Cherna and Dr. Gary Gitnick with a star-studded gala on Tuesday, March 13 at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland. 

Broadway and television star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson took to Instagram last night to share the joyous news that Broadway stars Phillipa Soo and Steven Pasquale were married last night, September 24th.

Center Theatre Group's production of 'Amelie, A New Musical' at the Ahmanson Theatre opened December 16 and continues through January 15, 2017. Based on the motion picture written by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Guillaume Laurant, 'Amelie, A New Musical' will have its Broadway premiere at the Walter Kerr Theatre, beginning performances on March 9, 2017 and opening April 3, 2017. The onePULSE Foundation hosted a benefit for the Orlando tragedy victims at the NeueHouse in Hollywood. During the star-studded event, guests were treated to special performances by Stevie Wonder, Jessie J, and LP; special remarks by Pulse nightclub ownerBarbara Poma, will.i.am, and L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti; and a special video message from presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

THE 70TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS, aired live from the Beacon Theatre, last night, June 12 on the CBS Television Network. After the ceremony is when the real fun started though, as many of the evening's celebrity guests headed to DKC/O&M's annual post-show party at the Baccarat Hotel.
