Moving Arts Theatre Company, known for their adventurous and immersive Site-Specific Theater, hasn't let a little thing like a global pandemic stop them from innovating.  Six writers from their LA based company got together and created a 9-episode Zoom Series called Isolation Inn, streaming now.  

Two fiercely funny Latinx-American women, two compelling solo comedies about female identity. Written, performed and directed by members of Los Angeles’ acclaimed IAMA Theatre Company and filmed live at L.A.’s Pico Playhouse, Anyone But Me, written and performed by Sheila Carrasco, and The Oxy Complex, written and performed by Anna LaMadrid.

The multicamera, virtually produced reading of Luis Alfaro's “Mojada” premieres Friday, November 20 and “Electricidad” premieres Sunday, November 22, both at 5 p.m. Pacific. Along with “Oedipus El Rey,” these modern adaptations of Greek tragedies complete “The Greek Trilogy of Luis Alfaro” which is presented on Center Theatre Group's Digital Stage in partnership with The Getty.

Digital arts journal Stage Raw announces the nominees for its fifth annual Stage Raw Theater Awards, to be held Monday night September 9, 2019, at Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring Street. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday August 7, 2019. The Stage Raw Theater Awards honor the finest work performed on Los Angeles area stages of 99-seats or fewer, and are selected by a jury of Stage Raw critics. This year's awards celebrate work performed between June 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019.

MOVING ARTS presents its Los Angeles premiere of E. M. Lewis' intriguing APPLE SEASON. Directed at a languid pace by Darin Anthony, the sparse explosive scenes really make their mark with the experienced acting chops of Rob Nagle and the vivid, versatile intensity of Liza Fernandez. This three-hander, as a part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere, relates the unpleasant situation of siblings Lissie (Fernandez) and Roger Fogerty (Justin Huen ) as they grapple with the death of their abusive Father from Hell.

MOVING ARTS presents the Los Angeles premiere production of APPLE SEASON, written by E. M. Lewis and directed by Darin Anthony (BLISS (or Emily Post is Dead!)). APPLE SEASON is produced by Moving Arts at Atwater Village Theatre as a part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Other partnering theaters are New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ) and Riverside Theatre (IA). Mr. Anthony and E. M. Lewis are long time collaborators, he has directed three premiere productions of E. Fortunately, there's a hot, imaginary Cockroach who's there to help him to confront his grief and his family's disappointment. Death and Cockroaches, a brand new theatrical experience presented by Chalk Repertory Theatre, opens November 9 for four weeks at Atwater Village Theatre. Written by Chalk Rep Artistic Circle member Eric Reyes Loo and directed by Chalk Rep Founding Member Jennifer Chang, in an innovative, immersive production featuring a full sensory experience.

Artists at Play's production of Two Mile Hollow by Leah Nanako Winkler will be extending due to popular demand. The story of the very White Donnelly family is told with an all-Asian American cast and presented by Artists at Play (AAP) as part of a series of world premieres across the country, each receiving much critical acclaim.
