It could have been dubbed a?oeChita Rivera's Dance Salona?? for the presenters, attendees and honorees read like a Who's Who of Chita's friends, fans and fellow Fosse favorites, including hosts Ben Vereen and Anne Reinking.

Dear Evan Hansen's Mike Faist has been cast as Riff of the Jets  in Fox's Steven Spielberg West Side Story film, according to Deadline. Puerto Rican singer and dancer Ana Isabelle will play Rosalia, a shark who works with Maria and Dance Moms' Maddie Ziegler has been cast as part of the Jets. They have also cast  over 40 performers set as Sharks and Jets!

Broadway Sessions celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15- October 15). We invited some of our favorite Latinx Broadway performers to share songs and stories reflecting their early hispanic influences on Broadway and beyond. Rodney Ingram (Phantom of the Opera), Yurel Echerezatta (Head Over Heels), Roddy Kennedy (Hamilton), Jennifer Sanchez (Pretty Woman), Julius Anthony Rubio (Frozen), Kathryn Allison (Aladdin) alongside "Rising Stars" AJ Alvarez and Hector Lionel enchanted the audience with heartfelt performances in both English and Spanish. Escape to Margaritaville, the new musical featuring the songs of singer-songwriter-author Jimmy Buffett, played its final Broadway performance on July 1. BC BEAT, an evening that sells out and is yet intimate, dynamic, and playful, continues to stimulate new collaboration between choreographers, performers, directors, composers, and producers like no other event in New York City. Just ask Patrick McCollum. He was introduced to Steven Hoggett as a possible performer for his BC BEAT piece in 2011. Following their BC BEAT process, McCollum worked nonstop with Hoggett as an Associate Broadway Choreographer and this year, made his Broadway choreographic debut with THE BAND'S VISIT. McCollum is one of the many Broadway artists who have performed and choreographed at BC BEAT and have made the most of the opportunity at hand.

Jimmy Buffett and Escape to Margaritaville will take over NBC's "Today" when the cast of the new Broadway musical performs two numbers written by the iconic singer, songwriter, and author.
