'THIS' a play by Melissa James Gibson (House of Cards) opened on the St. Germain Stage of Barrington Stage Company last night and had most of the first night audience telling there friends 'don't miss THIS', after leaving the theatre. Broadwayworld was there for the opening night celebration. When great ideas, words, and acting are heard in a theatre THIS is what happens. 'THIS' runs thru August 27th. Already Berkshire theatre lovers are also saying 'don't miss this' about Barrington Stage Companies production of COMPANY starring Aaron Tviet on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage August 10-Sept 2...Opening night is August 13.

Lauren Taslitz (book/lyrics) and Danny Ursetti (music) are pleased to announce that their new project REGRETTING ALMOST EVERYTHING (formerly titled Things We Think, But Don't Dare Say) will make its debut with a special two-night run as the final installment of this year's "Artists on the Horizon" emerging musical theater artists series at Mr. Finn's Cabaret at Barrington Stage Company, starring Broadway veterans Anne L. Recently Barbra Streisand came to the Friars Club for the naming of the Barbra Streisand Room on the 2nd floor of the Monastery. Last night she visited Mr. Finn's Cabaret at Barrington Stage Co. as one of Christine Pedi's Great Dames in Ms. Pedi's Award-Winning Cabaret Act.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a $70,000 grant from The Shubert Foundation. The Shubert Foundation's 2016 Grants Program awarded a record-breaking total of $26.8 million to 533 not-for-profit performing arts organizations across the United States.

Tin Pan Alley on 28th street in Manhattan was where many songs were composed in the early 20th century. Young composers like George Gershwin wrote many of the tunes we are still singing today. Now, a lot of the creative music and lyrics are coming out of William Finn's Master Class at The NYU Tisch Graduate Program in Musical Theatre Writing. Instead of these young songwriters displaying there work on the cheap upright pianos that gave Tin Pan Alley it's name, Mr. Finn who is also the Artistic Head of the Musical Theatre Lab at Barrington Stage Company puts on a show on Barrington's Main Stage in PIttsfield Massachusetts.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, swept the First Annual Berkshire Theatre Awards last night, winning 20 out of possible 25 awards. Winners of the awards-nicknamed "The Berkies"-were first announced on Monday, October 17, 2016, and awards were presented Sunday, November 13 at a ceremony held at Mr. Finn's Cabaret (36 Linden St) in Pittsfield, MA.
