Tune your air guitar and raise your rock salute, Adelaide! Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash-hit rock musical, School of Rock is coming to Adelaide Festival Centre.

Broadcast from New York City before a live studio audience, scheduled participants include cast members Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith), Phyllis Logan (Mrs. Hughes), Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore), Kevin Doyle (Molesley), Harry Hadden-Paton (Bertie), and Michael C. Fox (Andrew Parker) with executive producers Gareth Neame and Liz Trubridge. Composer John Lunn will also be live in the New York studio, performing piano arrangements of his evocative themes from the series. Additional live segments currently scheduled include costume designer Anna Mary Scott Robbins from WTTW Chicago; new taped interviews with Hugh Bonneville and Julian Fellowes will also be featured.  Hosted by award-winning ABC News journalist (and huge a?oeDowntona?? fan!) Deborah Roberts, DOWNTON ABBEY LIVE! premieres Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT on PBS. 

Kiln Theatre today announces that Jim Carter will host a special one-off screening of the new Downton Abbey film at 4pm on 29 September 2019, with a post screening question and answer session with several cast members of the film, including Imelda Staunton. The full line up will be announced shortly.

St. Luke's United Methodist Church presents Disney's and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins which tells the story of the Banks family and the struggles, adventures, and transformations they endure as they live in the big city of London during the early 1900s. Mary Poppins runs select dates from August 9 through August 25 at St. Luke's (4851 S. Apopka-Vineland Rd. Orlando, FL 32819). Tickets are on sale now, starting at $15 at st.lukes.org/marypoppins.

HBO Max adds to its arsenal of strategic, fan-favorite acquisitions by securing the exclusive streaming rights to BBC's longest running global franchise, 'Doctor Who.' All 11 seasons of the British sci-fi hit drama will be available on WarnerMedia's streaming service at launch in spring 2020, marking the SVOD premiere of season 11. As part of HBO Max's new long-term deal with BBC Studios, the streamer will also be the exclusive SVOD home for future seasons after they air on BBC AMERICA.

The Hangar Theatre Company caps its KIDDSTUFF summer season with the musical, Mary Poppins Jr., with music and lyrics by Richard and Robert Sherman and book by Julian Fellowes. Directed by Margaux Deverin, the show will run from Thursday, August 1, through Saturday, August 3, with 10 am and 12 noon performances at the Hangar Theatre.

Cameron Mackintosh and Disney Theatrical Productions have announced final adult casting for the new production of Mary Poppins which begins rehearsals in September and returns to its original West End home at the Prince Edward Theatre from 23 October 2019.

The familiar tune of "School of Rock (Teacher's Pet)" began to play and I was instantly brought back to my elementary school sixth-grade classroom, the first place I was encountered with the original movie version of SCHOOL OF ROCK. This movie was probably the first movie with rock music that I have ever watched and the whole concept of a band consisted of prestigious young students was fascinating to the 12-year-old me. Therefore watching SCHOOL OF ROCK the Musical was something that I was looking forward to. Luckily, the world tour of SCHOOL OF ROCK stopped by in Korea to perform in three major cities, having its first performance in Seoul on June 7th.

Noel Sullivan will join the award-winning show School of Rock - The Musical from 19 August 2019 and will play the lead role of Dewey Finn at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. The hit West End production, based on the iconic film of the same title, is currently booking to January 2020.

The title phrase is set to one of Lloyd Weber's patented ear worms that I defy you to get out of your head days after seeing the show, maybe ever. It comes in the middle of Act 2 of "School of Rock," the stage adaptation of the popular 2003 film, playing through Sunday, May 9th at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts.
