Savannah Rep has announced full casting for their production of The 39 Steps opening this week.

La Secretaría de Cultura federal y el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal), a través del Salón de la Plástica Mexicana (SPM), presentarán la exposición colectiva Realismo mágico y arte fantástico, este jueves 27 de abril a las 19:30 horas, en la cual se exploran los límites de la realidad e invita a conocer universos personales, mundos fantásticos y espacios oníricos cargados de una gran sensibilidad, a través de pintura, escultura, dibujo, fotografía, estampa, propuestas multidisciplinarias y alternativas.

En el marco de la 44 Feria Internacional del Libro del Palacio de Minería, que se celebra del 23 de febrero al 6 de marzo, el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal) participará con la presentación de tres importantes novedades editoriales. 

“The Low Tone Club” follows the story of Amaranto Molina (Vives), an unconventional music teacher who starts teaching at a music school that only encourages students who do well by commercial success standards. Every year Principal Eduardo Kramer (Julián Arango), chooses five students, nicknamed The High Tone.

“The Low Tone Club” also stars Kevin Bury (“Pa-Pi-Yón”), Elena Vives (“Amalia”), Brainer Gamboa (“Romario”), María Fernanda Marín (“Lala”), Catalina Polo (“Martina”), Gregorio Umaña (“Raphaelo”), Manuela Duque (“Roxana”), Salomé Camargo (“Cami”), Juan Camilo González (“Dardo”), and more. Festival of Cinema NYC will return for its 6th year, as a live in-person 10-day event, August 5 - August 14. Taking place at the Regal UA Midway theater in Forest Hills, Queens, FOC NYC will showcase 124 independent films from more than 25 countries, with over 90 anticipated filmmakers to be in attendance.

Earlier today, award-winning actress and singer, Bianca Marroquín was named Mr. Amigo 2022 at the official announcement and poster unveiling ceremony hosted by the Mexican Consulate, Texas Southmost College and City of Brownsville. 

The series has become one of the most awaited shows this year since the production was announced in 2021. This 8-episode series is executive produced by Academy Award winners, Pablo and Juan de Dios Larrain, along with Ángela Poblete and Mariane Hartard from Fabula and Christian Vesper at Fremantle.
