Rivendell Theatre Ensemble has announced its 2022 Fall line-up including the return of the Fresh Produce Festival: A Celebration of New Plays by Women; and the World Premiere of A Mile in the Dark by Emily Schwend, directed by RTE member Georgette Verdin, in a co-production with Interrobang Theatre Project.

Steep Theatre will make its much-anticipated return to production with the Midwest Premiere of Eboni Booth's Paris, opening June 18th.

Ms. Booth, a Drama Desk award-winning actor, made her Off-Broadway playwriting debut with the critically-acclaimed Paris at Atlantic Theatre Company in January of 2020.  Steep Ensemble Member Jonathan Berry, who has been at the helm of a slew of Steep hits over the years including Ike Holter's Red Rex and Simon Stephens' Birdland, directs.

Due to popular demand, Lookingglass Theatre Company, in collaboration with WBEZ 91.5 Chicago, adds two new dates for the World Premiere audio play of Her Honor Jane Byrne, written and directed by Ensemble Member and Mellon Playwright in Residence J. Nicole Brooks. First heard Thanksgiving weekend to wide acclaim, Her Honor Jane Byrne will air again on Chicago's NPR news station WBEZ 91.5 FM and wbez.org on Sunday, December 27 at 8pm CST and Friday, January 1 at 11am CST.

Erasing the Distance is proud to announce SPARKfest 2017. It's been 25 years since molecular neuroscientist Avery Kahn left Highland Falls, NY. But when 18 local girls, cheerleaders mostly, are stricken with a mysterious ailment, Avery reluctantly returns home to tackle what the locals derisively call the "girl disease." As Avery becomes affected-and infected-by the girls, the case becomes more personal than she ever expected. Based on actual events, Firebirds is a fascinating and often hilarious investigation of how women in particular are impacted by the pressures of growing up.
