American Theater Co. Announces Casting for Season 33, Featuring WELCOME TO JESUS and More

American Theater Company (ATC) announces complete casting for Season 33 productions: Janine Nabers' world premiere of Welcome to Jesus, directed by Artistic Director Will Davis, October 26-December 3, 2017; Basil Kreimendahl's Chicago premiere of We're Gonna Be Okay, January 25-March 4, 2018, directed by Davis; and Carlos Murillo's world premiere of Diagram of a Paper Airplane, May 3-June 10, 2018, directed by Bonnie Metzgar.

Erasing the Distance presents SPARKFEST 2017

Erasing the Distance is proud to announce SPARKfest 2017. The inaugural festival includes three world premieres; Walk A Mile, Breathe With Me, and The Lies We Tell. The performances address mental health issues like addiction, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and conditions related to aging.

As Avery becomes affected-and infected-by the girls, the case becomes more personal than she ever expected. Based on actual events, Firebirds is a fascinating and often hilarious investigation of how women in particular are impacted by the pressures of growing up. 

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble Announces Casting for the World Premiere of THE FIREBIRDS TAKE THE FIELD

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, announces the world premiere of The Firebirds Take the Field by Lynn Rosen and directed by Jessica Fisch. The Firebirds Take the Fieldruns April 15 - May 20, 2017, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.The Firebirds Take the Field is produced with support from the Alfred P. Sloane Foundation and Ensemble Studio Theater and is the second production of RTE's 2017 Season 'Exploring the Mind/Body Connection.'

Griffin Theatre Company has launched its 2016-17 Season, an exploration of the American Dream, with a rare revival of Maxwell Anderson's 1930s drama WINTERSET, directed by Ensemble Member Jonathan Berry (Pocatello, Balm in Gilead), playing now through December 23, 2016 at The Den Theatre's Upstairs Main Stage, 1333 N. the side project Extends WHATEVER Through 8/23

the side project's World Premiere production of Robert Tenges'  Whatever has been extended two weeks, and will now close Sunday, August 23, 2015. The company's Artistic Director Adam Webster made the announcement Monday. The Chicago Tribune gave the production 3-1/2 stars, saying 'Small word choices reveal universes.' New City said "Webster and his crackerjack cast execute with deft attention to detail."
