You could just avoid disaster by saying to yourself "Don't forget your wallet on the store counter" or something less serious, like "Check your teeth for broccoli before the blind date." What if you could even visit your past self and reflect on a weird, crazy time in your life? Well, this is real life, you idiot. You can't. But in The Other Josh Cohen, Josh can and does just that in this new musical adventure by David Rossmer and Steve Rosen at the SoHo Playhouse.

Amas Musical Theatre, in association with Scandobean Productions, LLC, presents a new musical with book, music and lyrics by David Rossmer and Steve Rosen entitled The Other Josh Cohen. It is directed by Tony Award-winning Ted Sperling, with choreography by Andrew Palermo and musical direction by Vadim Feichtner. A number of celebrities have stopped by the show, from bestselling author Jonathan Tropper to Charles Osgood to Jason Kravits. Check out photos of them with the cast below!

First off, let me give another rousing shout out to 'The Other Josh Cohen', currently running at the SoHo Playhouse. What a great night of unique, inspired theatre! I have no connections to the show, other that having worked with a couple of folks involved, so I'm not a shill.

he Other Josh Cohen: The Story of One Man's Battle with Money, Heartache and Neil Diamond will host the "I Love Neil Diamond Halloweekend" for all performances October 26-30, 2012 at SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). Those with tickets to The Other Josh Cohen, dressed as Neil will get a free drink, an autographed poster and a photo with the cast. And you can't wear street clothes and say you're Neil at the grocery store, either. We were lazy teenagers once, too.

In 2006 (I think... my mind is a little fuzzy), I had the privilege to be part of the original cast of "Don't Quit Your Night Job"-­- an all Broadway Improv show. The show was created by Sarah Saltzberg, Steve Rosen, and David Rossmer. (PS - go see Steve and David in "The Other Josh Cohen" which starts previews Wed at the SoHo playhouse) all of them comedic gold. Now... it may seem like I'm milking my friends here, but I wouldn't post it if it wasn't true! Anyhow, I always had a fantasy of writing a sketch for the show involving David Hyde Pierce and Brian d'Arcy James. Why? Let me finish...
