SC7NARIO, a new 18-minute film starring a stunning company of Broadway's greatest dancers, will premiere this summer. The genre-defying film, stars Tyler Hanes (Cats, A Chorus Line), Amber Ardolino (Moulin Rouge!, Hamilton), Max Clayton (Moulin Rouge!, Hello, Dolly!), Karla Garcia(“Smash,” West Side Story) and more.
ALMA NYC Announces New Production YELLOW

ALMA NYC, a NYC nonprofit dance company, announced a pair of performances on January 18th 2020 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater of their new production, 'Yellow'. Yellow is a 70 minute dance performance with animation set to the music of multi-instrumentalist Cosmo Sheldrake and was developed and choreographed by ALMA NYC's Founding Artistic Director, Zanza Steinberg. This dynamic performance explores connection, resilience, and universal fragility, through stylized storytelling movement. Music from the evening is derived from the sounds of both endangered and thriving ecosystems.
Uptown Dancers Turn Olympic-Size Pool into Stage for the 3rd Annual Danza Highbridge Festival

The United Palace of Cultural Arts is currently in preparations for the third annual Danza Highbridge Festival at Highbridge Pool in Washington Heights. On Saturday September 22nd at 5pm, members of the community are invited to join over eighty dancers, choreographers, and musicians in a drained, olympic-size wading pool for an afternoon dance showcase and celebration. This year's festival is free to attend and will feature a variety of dance styles, including Jazz, Modern, Contemporary Indian, Bachata, Theatre Dance, and more. Following the performance, spectators are invited to the dance floor to join in a Fiesta Latina, lead by Ximena Salgado from the Dance Project of Washington Heights. Festival organizers suggest bringing a towel, blanket, or beach chair to sit on during the performance.

Leg Up On Life: Showcase! benefiting The Trevor Project is hosted by Daniel Gold who wanted to create a platform for choreographers of all dance styles to get their works out to the public while raising money for a phenomenal organization. Showcase! is taking place Monday, August 28th, 2017 at Dixon Place. Performances will take place 4pm and 8pm doors opening a half hour prior.
