Fresh off their 13-wins at last night’s St. Louis Theatre Circle Awards, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis announces their upcoming season celebrating their Diamond Anniversary at The Rep. This season, 60-years in the making, include five mainstage performances, three productions in the Steve Woolf Studio Series, and launches their new Diamond Concert Series.
BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO? Is a 50-minute one act play with a message that effort pays off. The play, with music, positively encourages its protagonist to face their challenges head-on to reach a goal. Playwright Myah L. Gary, in collaboration with Metro Theater Company’s Jacqueline Thompson, has adapted the work from the writings of 9-year-old Arika Parr and Ava Johnson with Illustrations by Misra Karahan. Thompson told St. Louis Magazine that “this story aligns perfectly with Metro Theater’s mission.”
This outstanding production of AS YOU LIKE IT is a perfect introduction for Shakespeare newbies and delivers a high-quality performance for the most ardent of Shakespeare aficionados. The directorial vision is beyond remarkable.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis closes its current season with a production of Tray Letts’ tragicomedy AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY. Performances begin on March 19th and the show runs through April 7th on the main stage in the Loretto-Hilton Center. AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY is a winner of 5 Tony Awards, including Best Play, and the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The dark comedy examines the dysfunctional dynamics of the Weston Family when they return home for a funeral. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis has announced that it will complete its 2023/24 season with its final production, Pulitzer Prize and Tony winner August: Osage County, after Phase I of its multi-year “Rally for The Rep” campaign met expectations.
The St. Louis Theatre Circle announced their 2024 Nominations on Friday. STAGES St. Louis’ production of CLUE and New Jewish Theatre’s production of INTO THE WOODS lead all productions with 11 nominations each. Twenty-four different companies and 55 unique productions were represented among 165 nominations in 33 categories. Awards will be handed out on Monday, March 25th, 2024, at The Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts on the Webster University campus.
