A dependable haven for artists in isolation, Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is now into its second year of non-stop weekly Community Gatherings this Friday, having offered to date over 100 conversations and unlimited camaraderie since April 17, 2020.

The 2021 Jonathan Larson Grant recipient musical storyteller and artscientist Zeniba Now will bring her special talents to the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Saturday, September 17.

This autobiographical musical recently made into a Netflix film by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning composer of Rent, is the story of a composer and the sacrifices that he made to achieve his big break in theater. His girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city, his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue and, yet, Jon is still waiting on tables and trying to write the great American musical. Set in 1990, this compelling story of personal discovery is presented as a rock musical filled with instantly appealing melodies and a unique blend of musical theater styles. North Texas Performing Arts Repertory Theatre will open their 2022-2023 season with the Broadway smash-hit, winner of 4 Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and pop-culture phenomenon Rent, performing Sept. 9-18 at the Rodenbaugh Theatre at Willow Bend Center of the Arts.

The Downtown Cabaret Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for their upcoming production of RENT. The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical opens September 16 and runs through October 15th at Connecticut's most historic Cabaret Theatre.

Tony Award nominee L Morgan Lee (she/her, A Strange Loop) will direct the final evening of Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival – an evening of 15 newly commissioned monologues created by members of the TNB2S+ community - on Sunday October 16 at 7:00pm at Theatre Row’s first floor space, Theatre One.

New York Youth Symphony has announced its 2022/23 season of performances for its Musical Theater Songwriting program. Led by director Anna K. Jacobs, the Musical Theater Songwriting Program continues into its fifth season, in partnership with the Harlem School of the Arts and Molloy/CAP21 Theatre Arts Program.
