Photo Flash: Tipping Point Theatre Presents A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2

A Doll's House is a play studied by students around the world. A production ahead of its time, it questioned the traditional roles of men and women in the 19th-century. This message, while not well received at the time, was essential to the forward movement of theatre. A Doll's House, Part 2 , written 140 years later by Lucas Hnath, aims to answer the question of what happened where Henrik Ibsen's classic play left off?

On Saturday, June 9, an entire theatre community will come together to memorialize, embrace and celebrate the life of everyone's favorite person: Terry Heck Seibert. That same community has been mourning the unimaginable, heartbreaking loss of Heck Seibert since April 13 when she died after being struck by a car while walking her dog in her Ann Arbor neighborhood. She would have been 62 on May 5.

Theater professionals from across Michigan will gather Aug. 29 when The 2016 Wilde Awards are presented at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield. Williamston Theatre's CHAPATTI Begins Performances Today

The Williamston Theater, mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company located at 122 S. The 2014-2015 Season will include: The Gravedigger: A Frankenstein Story by Joseph Zettelmaier, Miracle on South Division Street by Tom Dudzik, The Best Brothers by Daniel MacIvor, Sirens by Deborah Zoe Laufer, Outside Mullingar by John Patrick Shanley and The Art of Murder by Joe DiPietro.

Performance Network is proud to announce its 2013 -2014 season with epic plays and a musical revue extravaganza for its 32nd season in their intimate theatre located in Downtown Ann Arbor. The very first play of the season, 'An Iliad' adapted by Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson, begins on September 26th, 2013 as a one-man contemporary retelling of the famous poem, followed by 'Jerry's Girls' with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and concept by Larry Alford, Wayne Cilento, and Jerry Herman, the World Premiere of 'County Line' by Ann Arbor playwright David Wells, the sexy 'Venus in Fur' by David Ives, a reimagined 'Richard III' by William Shakespeare, Pulitzer Prize Finalist 'Other Desert Cities' by Jon Robin Baitz, and the World Premiere of 'The Renaissance Man' by Joseph Zettelmaier closing on September 7, 2014. The epically intimate season features works by famous and premiering playwrights that are cherished by New York and local critics while bringing diverse plays to the stage.
