Theater J has announced auditions for its first-ever Summer Musical Theater Camp programs, The Jungle Book, running from July 1-18, 2024, and The Wizard Of Oz, running from July 22–August 8, 2024.

The yellow brick road is winding it's way to The Rose with Brampton On Stage and Brampton Music Theatre's production of THE WIZARD OF OZ! This wonderful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale about Dorothy Gale of Kansas and her journey over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz features the iconic musical score from the MGM film. Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 51st summer season with a three-week run of a unique stage adaptation of the classic MGM musical “The Wizard of Oz”.

Geva Theatre welcomes Rosé from RuPaul's Drag Race and Savy Jackson from Bad Cinderella on Broadway to Rochester for the opening production of the 23/24 Season, director Zi Alikhan's newly re-envisioned production of the classic musical The Wizard of Oz.

Musical Theatre West (MTW)'s summer production, The Wizard of Oz, is preparing to take a final bow on Sunday, July 23rd. A loving rendition of the classic film, MTW's Broadway-caliber production brings the heartwarming story, powerful vocals, and breathtaking visual effects to life on stage.

Delightfully charming but also now slightly dated, MTW's expectedly family-friendly, colorfully saturated production is indeed a lovely, mostly entertaining stage recreation of the movie classic. But curiously, at times, the show feels subdued and tamed-down, and in dire need of an extra jolt of energy to match the story’s wildly madcap, campy premise.
