 Stephen DeAngelis continues his ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates with the next edition of At This Performance…™ to be held on Monday, December 13th  at The Green Room 42, Green Fig, Fourth Floor, Yotel NYC, 570 Tenth Avenue (at 42nd Street), New York, NY 10036 at 7 PM. 

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present “Still Within the Sound of My Voice: The Songs of Linda Ronstadt,” the award-winning tribute show created by Broadway veteran Elizabeth Ward Land on Sunday, December 12 at 7:00 PM.

The serial podcast, DRY RUN, which is the audio version of Nikki MacCallum’s memoir released by Auctus Publishers in 2019, had its launch party last month at Jungle Bird in New York City. The event was produced by Kevin Martinez.

Touching on genres ranging from rock, country, folk, light opera, big band and mariachi, Elizabeth Ward Land finds her perfect vocal match in this salute to the great Linda Ronstadt.

On Wednesday night, Broadway veteran Elizabeth Ward Land returned to The Green Room 42 with her acclaimed concert STILL WITHIN THE SOUND OF MY VOICE- THE SONGS OF LINDA RONSTADT for a special one-night-only encore.

In 2020, Elizabeth Ward Land (Amazing Grace, Scandalous, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Memphis, City of Angels) won the Bistro Award for Outstanding Tribute Show for her work on STILL WITHIN THE SOUND OF MY VOICE: THE SONGS OF LINDA RONSTADT. Tonight she gave a repeat performance of that award-winning show at The Green Room 42. She hadn't finished the first number before it became clear why her show won awards. Not only is Elizabeth Ward Land a compelling actress and singer, her show is well structured, well written, well directed, and impeccably performed. She uses the facts of Linda Ronstadt's Life, a young girl who leaves her home and family in Tuscon for an uncertain future in music, to tell the story of Elizabeth Ward Land, a young girl who leaves her home and family in Denver for an uncertain future in theatre. They have much in common.

Broadway Records announced today the release of the world premiere recording of MY MARCELLO, a new musical based on the motion picture For Roseanna by Saul Turtletaub. With music by Rosabella Gregory, lyrics by Dina Gregory and book by Corey Brunish, the recording features performances by two-time Tony Award winner Santino Fontana and more.

DRY RUN compares the struggles of marathoning with the challenges of alcohol addiction. MacCallum’s memoir was published by Auctus Publishers in late 2019 and was shortly thereafter featured on CBS.

Broadway Buskers, Times Square Alliance’s concert series celebrating the performers and singer-songwriters of the theater community, will return to the Plazas of Times Square in anticipation of Broadway’s reopening this fall.

The competition was narrowed to their top 4 finalists and the Covid-19 outbreak prevented them from hosting their grand finale. Green (BSC's The Hills Are Alive with Rodgers & Hammerstein, Broadway's School of Rock), Alysha Umphress (BSC's The Hills Are Alive with Rodgers & Hammerstein; Broadway/BSC's On the Town) and Joel Waggoner (Composer: BSC's Presto Change-O; Performer: Broadway's School of Rock) by popular demand. 

Alan H. Green, Alysha Umphress, and Joel Waggoner display ample skill and talent as they present viewers with a selection of 18 musical numbers (credited, although I counted a few uncredited bonus tunes) that are fun, often campy, poignant, tender, notably well- balanced, and entertaining.
