On Wednesday, July 10 at 7:00 PM, Flushing Town Hall, a Smithsonian affiliate, will host its fourth annual Jazz Jam All-Stars Concert and honor the musicians who regularly attend its monthly Louis Armstrong Legacy Jazz Jams.

On Wednesday, July 12 at 7:00 PM, Flushing Town Hall will host its Third Annual Jazz Jam All-Stars Concert, honoring the musicians and audiences who regularly attend its in-person and virtual Jazz Jams. For the first time since the pandemic, the All-Stars concert will be held in Flushing Town Hall's theater.

What did our critic think of TITANIC THE MUSICAL at MILWAUKEE REPERTORY THEATER? Something epic has set sail once more at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Remounted after having to close early due to a COVID-19 outbreak last April, this show has been years in the making. It's the company's single largest production in their 70-year history, and Titanic the Musical is every inch a spectacular, tremendous achievement.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is bringing back the five-time Tony Award-winning musical Titanic The Musical with story and book by Peter Stone, Music and Lyrics by Maury Yeston and Orchestrations by Joshua Clayton in the Quadracci Powerhouse, September 20 – October 23, 2022. 

Milwaukee Repertory Theater has announced the cast and creative teams for the 2022/23 Season show openers in all three venues - Unforgettable: John-Mark McGaha Sings Nat King Cole, Titanic The Musical and Wife of a Salesman.

On Saturday, July 16th at 7:30 PM, Flushing Town Hall will host its 2nd Annual Jazz Jam All-Stars Concert. This celebratory event honors the musicians and audiences who regularly attended Flushing Town Hall's in-person and virtual Jazz Jams, as well as its dedicated house band led by Carol Sudhalter, featuring Joe Vincent Tranchina, Scott Neumann, and Eric Lemon.

In response to Covid to provide some money to NYC’s many out-of-work or underemployed string musicians, Manny Alvarez launched a “Kolstein Performance Showcase” in collaboration with the Essex House on Central Park South/7th.  There is an ongoing schedule every Friday evening from 7-8 PM.

This October, Flushing Town Hall's wildly popular Louis Armstrong Legacy Monthly Jazz Jam is turning ten! To celebrate the occasion, Flushing Town Hall's current house jazz band will be joined by members of Queens Jazz OverGround.

This August, Flushing Town Hall continues to welcome in-person audiences back for select events while continuing to live-stream all programs, too. Next up, Flushing Town Hall will present  The Gino Sitson Trio's innovative and energetic performance of African music, an outdoor exhibition of work by Queens-based artists, Taiwanese piano talents Ching-Yun Hu, Natasha Wu, and Yao-Wen Chang, and the final, virtual Louis Armstrong Legacy Jazz Jam. 

This summer, it is time to celebrate resilience as Flushing Town Hall continues its reopening since the pandemic first closed the doors of the cultural nonprofit in March 2020.

The Virtual Jazz Jam: Celebrating the Legacy of Louis Armstrong returns with the theme, “A Jazz Tribute to the American Melting Pot: diverse music and musicians in celebration of our national holiday” on Wednesday, July 14 at 7:00 PM (ET).

One of Flushing Town Hall's most popular signature programs during this past year, the Virtual Jazz Jam: Celebrating the Legacy of Louis Armstrong returns in June to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month, highlighting works for LGBTQ composers and performers, on Wednesday, June 9 at 7:00 PM (ET).

More than one year into its online programming, Flushing Town Hall's virtual Jazz Jams continue strong with hundreds of participants and thousands of viewers from across the globe and close to home.

This April, Flushing Town Hall  will go all out with an incredibly diverse lineup of jazz and comedy events. As New York City slowly reopens, the cultural nonprofit continues to present its programs to an all-virtual audience while livestreaming small ensembles from its stage.

Marking one year since going online amid the pandemic, Flushing Town Hall's wildly popular monthly Jazz Jams continue to draw participants from across the globe and close to home.

This March, Flushing Town Hall raises the virtual curtain on a series of amazing jazz performances in celebration of Women’s History Month from its own stage and with co-presented programs from Baltimore and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Every month, jazz musicians have come together for the Jazz Jam to play tunes reflecting each month's theme. Since going online, the Jazz Jams have reached more than 7,000 viewers, and exceeded 1,700 engagements online—numbers that surpassed the participation and capacity of the venue during previous in-person sessions. The Jazz Jam has truly become a haven for jazz lovers from around the world!

This fall season, jazz is in the air with Flushing Town Hall’s virtual music programming including the popular monthly Virtual Jazz Jam: Celebrating the Legacy of Louis Armstrong, and two concert series: Lioness: Women in Jazz, and New Music Horizons – Collaborative Artists in Concert—all of which are free for anyone to enjoy from the comfort of their home.
