The production is nestled in a traditional Middle Eastern beat, infused with the flamenco of Andalusia and klezmer – a real fusion of world music. My vision is now coming to life with the help of a brilliant cast in its London premiere.

The full cast and production team are announced for the European premiere of A Song of Songs. The production will open at the Park Theatre, Thursday 9 May to Saturday 15 June 2024.

The Christmas with The Tabernacle Choir holiday special celebrates its 20th year with PBS premiering December 12, 2023. This perennial favorite, PBS’ #1 holiday show each year, this year features guest stars Lea Salonga and Sir David Suchet performing with the 360-membered Tabernacle Choir and 110-piece Orchestra in the 21,000 seat Salt Lake City Conference Center. This program, titled Season of Light, was taped as a compilation of three performances last holiday season. I had the opportunity to partake in a Zoom Q&A with Lea, Sir David and music director Mack Wilberg.

Recently, we had the chance to speak with Joaquin Pedro Valdes, who is taking on the role of John Manjiro in Pacific Overtures. We discussed how he first got started in musical theatre, what it has been like to be a part of such a unique Sonhdime work, and even how the themes of the show can be compared to sushi!

After selling out 3 shows at the London Palladium in just hours and announcing an unprecedented immediate transfer to another West End Theatre, the Lyric, for 6 additional shows, Death Note THE MUSICAL in Concert today adds a 10th show due to overwhelming public demand.

Death Note: The Musical has made its European debut at the London Palladium, before transferring to the Lyric Theatre from 7 to 11 September.

It’s definitely not your regular staged concert. While there isn’t as much character exploration in this instance, the fact-driven numbers are enough to give a morsel of what a complete production could do.

The writers want so badly for this to be a soberly romantic mix between The Notebook and The Bridges of Madison County via Dear Evan Hansen, but only manage to hit the nails of its coffin. It’s unexciting, unengaging, and as deep as a rivulet. The characters are one-dimensional figurines, including the protagonist, whose only personality trait is her grief and inability to love anyone else but Stephen.
