The star-studded My Favorite Things: The Rodgers & Hammerstein 80th Anniversary Concert, filmed last December, will be screened in more than 100 cinemas across Australia and New Zealand from 21st March 2024.

The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization has announced that recent R&H leading lady Joanna Ampil (Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific) and four-time Olivier Award® winner Maria Friedman will additionally headline My Favorite Things: The Rodgers & Hammerstein 80th Anniversary Concert.

The 2014 West End production of 'Miss Saigon,' which also premiered on Broadway in 2017 and recently played at the Sydney Opera House, will make its way to The Theatre at Solaire in March 2024. GMG Productions and GWB Entertainment are on board as producers.

Opera Australia has announced that young Australian singer Abigail Adriano will make her mainstage lead debut after landing the coveted role of Kim in Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new Australian production of Boublil and Schönberg’s award winning musical Miss Saigon, premiering at the Sydney Opera House in August 2023.

Julian Ovenden and Gina Beck reprise their roles from the Chichester Festival Theatre production, and lead a sensational cast of over thirty including Rob Houchen, Joanna Ampil and Sera Maehara. Featuring a full orchestra, this ravishing musical is set to be the must-see theatrical event of the year.

Sheffield Theatres have announced two upcoming productions, Wildfire Road and Miss Saigon.

The show is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Tales of the South Pacific and made its Broadway debut in 1949; it is surprisingly progressive, despite its age, making it a relatively unproblematic revival. It also helps that it contains some of musical theatre’s most recognisable songs, including “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair”, “Some Enchanted Evening”, and “There Is Nothing Like a Dame”.
