Steep Ensemble's LINDA Extends Through September 15

With the original run and first extension completely sold out, Steep Theatre is extending the run of Penelope Skinner's Linda through September 15. Tickets for these eight additional performances will go on sale at noon on Thursday, August 16, and they're expected to sell very quickly.

The Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre box office (242 W. 45th Street) is now open for Jez Butterworth's The Ferryman. The play, directed by Sam Mendes, arrives on Broadway this fall. Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and Neal Street Productions, previews begin Tuesday, October 2 ahead of a Sunday, October 21 opening night. Since they published their first title, Mrs Klein by Nicholas Wright, alongside its National Theatre production in 1988, Nick Hern Books (NHB) has gone from strength to strength. The company now boasts over 1500 titles on their list, and a staff of thirteen based at their London office in Shepherd's Bush. In honor of their 30th birthday the company threw a party to celebrate. BoHo Announces 2019 Season

BoHo Theatre is excited to announce its 15th Anniversary season under the leadership of incoming Artistic Director Stephen Schellhardt. The company's 2019 season will include a trio of stories focusing on characters in search of human connections. "These three shows are stories that need to be told now, by BoHo," Schellhardt says. "Experiencing these shows in an intimate space, which is one of BoHo's signature strengths, will help illuminate the central stories and human relationships." Schellhardt has also signaled BoHo's continuing commitment to being an incubator for diverse, up-and-coming Chicago talent by creating safe, supportive artistic environments for our artists to experiment and grow. With these goals in mind, BoHo Theatre's 2019 season will feature Steve Martin and Edie Brickell's bluegrass musical BRIGHT STAR, the intimate thriller THE RIVER by Jez Butterworth; and the whimsical and imaginative musical BIG FISH by Andrew Lippa and John August.

Stephen Rea Stars in CYPRUS AVENUE, Full Cast Announced

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin previews for a limited eight-week run of the Abbey Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre's acclaimed production of CYPRUS AVENUE on Saturday, June 2. The new play, written by David Ireland and directed by Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone, features Stephen Rea, who last performed at The Public in 2008 in Sam Shepard's Kicking a Dead Horse. The run at The Public follows encore engagements at Dublin's Peacock Stage at the Abbey Theatre (April 30-May 19) and the MAC in Belfast (May 23-26). CYPRUS AVENUE will run through Sunday, July 29 in The Public's LuEsther Hall, with an official press opening on Monday, June 25.
