Hadestown has won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album! The announcement was made during the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony on Sunday, January 26. 

During the first night of BroadwayCon, the First Look event was held. The event gave fans a first look into this season's new musicals. Our All-Star lineup included Paige Davis (Chicago, Trading Spaces), Patrick Page (Hadestown) Jewelle Blackman (Hadestown), Max Chernin (Sunday in The Park), Rhaamell Burke-Missouri (King Kong), Hernando Umana (School of Rock), Nicole Vanessa Ortiz (Smokey Joe's Cafe), Riza Takahashi (Mean Girls), Gianna Yanelli (Mean Girls), Jessica Juanich (Bat Out Of Hell), Imari Hardon (Avenue Q), Robert Mantano (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Eric Sebek (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), The Honey Taps, Colleen Harris, Michael Kirk Lane, Katryna Marttala, and Anthony Fett. 

Last night Broadway Sessions offered up it's annual All Star Holiday Show at The Laurie Beechman. Broadway Sessions alumni will reunited for an evening of holiday music, magic, laughs and love.

This Thursday night, December 19th, Broadway Sessions offers up it's annual All Star Holiday Show. Broadway Sessions alumni will reunite for an evening of holiday music, magic, laughs and love. 

This year's opening number was a sparkling celebration of the more than 200 actors making their Broadway debuts this season. The performance featured 60 newcomers, from a bevy of Broadway's brightest children to adults stepping into the spotlight. Featured performers included Jewelle Blackman and Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer (Hadestown), Clinton Greenspan (Aladdin), Gizel Jiménez (Wicked), Jeigh Madjus (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Reneé Rapp (Mean Girls) and Marissa Rosen (Kristin Chenoweth: For The Girls). The full-hearted number, which received a standing ovation, was written by Michael Liscio Jr. and Jed Resnick, and directed and choreographed by Richard J. Hinds. Six weeks of enthusiastic fundraising erupted into two extraordinary performances of lighthearted parodies, inspiring calls-to-action and exceptional dance at this year's Red Bucket Follies. The show, which was performed December 9 and 10, 2019, celebrated the 58 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies that participated in fall fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Hadestown recently celebrated 250 performances on Broadway!

We're going way down to Hadestown thanks to the show's three Fates: Jewelle Blackman, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer and Kay Trinidad. The trio took to TikTok for a behind the scenes look at their process of getting ready to bring the underworld to the stage of Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre.
