With BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL's official Broadway bow imminent, a new look at the production, with updated costumes and more, has just been released. Chronicling the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, BEAUTIFUL is currently in previews at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street), following a critically acclaimed, sold-out World Premiere in San Francisco. Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, presented 2013 Gimme A Break!, honoring producer Beth Williams, last night at the Asia Society and Museum, 725 Park Avenue at 70th Street. Performers included Carolee Carmelo (Parade, Falsettos), Santino Fontana (Cinderella, Billy Elliot), Jayne Houdyshell (Romeo & Juliet, Follies), Rachel Bay Jones (Pippin, Hello Again), Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (The Winslow Boy, Man of La Mancha), and Jessie Mueller (On a Clear Day, Beautiful).

The highly anticipated new musical, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter is currently in previews on Broadway at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street), following a critically acclaimed, sold-out World Premiere in San Francisco.
