The new Broadway production of Once On This Island officially opened last night, December 3rd, at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W. 50th street, NYC), and is directed by Tony nominee Michael Arden, and choreographed by the critically-acclaimed Camille A. Brown.

Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita plays 'Cindy Lou Who' in the world premiere of Matthew Lombardo's new comedy with a twist of rhyme, WHO'S HOLIDAY! directed by Carl Andress, which celebrated its opening last night, November 28. Fellowship for Performing Arts returns to New York for their third season with the first New York revival of William Nicholson's award-winning play SHADOWLANDS. The production opened last night, November 1st, at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row and will run through January 7, 2018. On Monday, October 23, the Theater People podcast welcome's fellow podcaster Gillian Pensavalle of 'The Hamilcast.' For the episode, Pensavalle shares the origins of the popular HAMILTON-themed podcast. She also shares all the details of HAMILTON creator Lin-Manuel Miranda coming to her apartment and doing a 4-hour interview for the podcast.

On Thursday, October 26, 7 PM, two-time Fred Ebb Award finalists Don and Jeff Breithaupt (aka The Breithaupt Brothers), whose Seeing Stars -- an original musical comedy written with book writer Shelley McPherson -- delighted sold-out audiences at the New York Musical Festival and whose recent recording, Just Passing Through, prompted CBC Radio to call their songs 'worthy of the Great American Songbook,' bring their songbook back to Joe's Pub for an all-star revue. The show will feature a cast of acclaimed cabaret, musical theater, and jazz singers fronted by a sparkling house band. Singing a selection of new Breithaupt Brothers songs and favorites, as well as a clutch of songs from Seeing Stars, will be rising cabaret star Marissa Mulder, the Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel, jazz trio Duchess, Broadway's Jeremy Kushnier, singer-songwriter Jamie Leonhart, cabaret spitfire Shelley McPherson, The Sweet Remains' Greg Naughton, and actors Michael Halling, Christian Campbell, Joan Hess, Chris Bolan, and Todd Gearhart.

The new musical October Sky, inspired by the Universal Pictures film and 'Rocket Boys' by Homer H. Hickam Jr. will receive a developmental lab from November 9-November 10, 2017 in New York City.

Opening their 49th Season with the enchanting storybook tale THE SECRET GARDEN, Theatre Under the Stars has welcomed Dan Knechtges as Artistic Director to take over the season that predecessor Sheldon Epps put in place. The musical, directed and choreographed by 5th Avenue Theatre's Artistic Director David Armstrong is based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's fairytale classic and a book by Marsha Norman, infused with music by Lucy Simon. As part of a pre-Broadway co-production, this Tony Award winning musical will be undergoing refinements made by Armstrong and his creative team.
