Muny announced today its complete cast, design and production team for Footloose, the fifth show of its second century, July 18 - 24.

BroadwayWorld has learned that The Muny announced today 25 principal cast members for the first season of its second century. Complete company casting will be announced throughout April and May. The 101st season opens on a brand new, state-of-the-art stage with Muny favorite Guys and Dolls followed by the U.S. regional premiere of Kinky Boots. The season continues with 1776, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Footloose and a newly-reimagined Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon. Season 101 closes with the highly-anticipated Muny debut of Roald Dahl's Matilda.

Kelli Barrett, who has appeared on Broadway in Wicked and Gettin' The Band Back Together, and stars as Liza Minnelli in FX's Fosse/Verdon, will be appearing in Johnny Mercer's lost musical FOXY at Feinstein's/54 Below on Tuesday, April 9th at 7:00pm.

In support of bringing arts education to underprivileged children in NYC and around the world, over 30 of Broadway's finest performers are donating their time and talents to the Broadway's Babies 2019 Spring Fundraising Concert on Monday March 25 at (le) Poisson Rouge, NYC. Hosted by the incomparable Natalie Joy Johnson (Kinky Boots), and produced by co-founders, Kate Pfaffl (War Horse), and Ben Houghton, the evening celebrates diversity and community through song, dance and the profound stories of the children they serve.

FOXY, the 1964 musical based on Ben Johnson's Volpone, with a score by Johnny Mercer and Robert Emmett Dolan and a book by Ian McLellan Hunter and Ring Lardner Jr, will return to New York City with a star-studded Broadway cast at Feinstein's/54 Below on Tuesday, April 9that 7:00pm.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go's - the most successful female rock band of all time - will play its final Broadway performance at Hudson Theatre (141 West 44th Street) this weekend, on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Before it goes forever however, the cast is opening up about the show's important message of love and acceptance. 'Head Over Heels presents a kind of utopian society, where love and authenticity reigns,' says cast member Rachel York. Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go's - the most successful female rock band of all time - will play its final Broadway performance at Hudson Theatre (141 West 44th Street) on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Head Over Heels, which began preview performances on Saturday, June 23 and officially opened on Thursday, July 26, 2018, will have played 188 regular performances and 37 previews.
