They first made a name for themselves on a national level when their song “Empress” topped Spotify’s Viral 50 in 2015 and was featured in a Starbucks commercial featuring Oprah Winfrey. The song now has over 40 million streams on Spotify.

The Outrageous Sophie Tucker is the story of a turn of the 20th century immigrant girl and how she became the Last of The Red Hot Mamas. The show chronicles her early years as a singing waitress at her family's restaurant in Hartford, and spotlights how a first-generation full-figured Jewish girl partnered with Black performers Bill “Bojangles” Robinson and Molly Elkins to revolutionize American entertainment, onstage and off.

Cherry Lane Theatre, the oldest continuously running Off-Broadway theatre in New York City, has a new owner, it has been announced by Angelina Fiordellisi, the theatre’s Executive Director since having acquired the building in 1996. Cherry Lane is located at 38 Commerce Street in Greenwich Village.
