Staying true to its long history and commitment to justice and mercy through worship and the arts, poetry, dance, and historic preservation, St. Mark's Church In-The-Bowery, the Rev Anne Marie Witchger, Priest in Charge will host its annual Good Friday Blues on Friday, March 29th noon to 3:00 p.m. 

Celebrating Black History Month, the Riverside Opera Company's live performance of ROC Black Voices will feature Black musicians and vocalists who have performed around the globe. 

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine will celebrate the Feast of Blessed Absalom Jones, first Black priest in the Episcopal Church, on Saturday, February 3 at 10:30 AM at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street).

Riverside Opera Company's free performance of ROC Black Voices, honoring African-American Music with performances of Broadway, Jazz and spiritual tunes, is Saturday, July 15, 3 p.m.- 4 p.m. at Conference House Park, 7455 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10307.  Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Celebrating Black History Month, Tribecarts presents a performance of Black Voices, features Black musicians and vocalists who have performed around the globe. Tribecarts Black Voices is Sunday, February 26th at 3pm at St. Mark's Church, Manhattan.  Admission is a $15 suggested donation at the door and free for students and children.

Celebrating Black History Month and their 27th anniversary the Riverside Opera Company, the performance of ROC Black Voices, features Black musicians and vocalists who have performed around the globe.  ROC Black Voices is Friday, February 24th at 7pm at the Brighton Heights Reformed Church in St. George, Staten Island.

On Saturday, the Tin Pan Alley American Popular Music Project in collaboration with the Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership presented a free, outdoor public concert at the Flatiron North Plaza featuring more than two dozen leading performers of Tin Pan Alley music and the Great American Songbook. 

Staten Island, NY. Association for a Better New York (ABNY) has asked Sundog Theatre to collaborate on its 'Together We Are New York' campaign that celebrates the diversity of being a New Yorker. ABNY chose one organization in all five NYC boroughs, tasking each to put together a campaign conceived by community leaders and local artists.

Joining them are guest vocalist Jeannine Otis and tap dancer DeWitt Fleming. Doors open at 5pm; performance at 5:30pm.
