Good Theater will open its 20th anniversary season with THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT, running October 5th through October 30th.

The Good Theater’s latest offering, SIGNIFICANT OTHER, is an edgy, quirky, bittersweet look at the complexities and pitfalls of modern love and friendship, seen from the perspective of a quartet of marriage-age friends, who try to navigate this rocky road as best they can. Told with humor and compassion, Harmon’s play, examines the yearnings, strivings, and conflicts that befall the heart.

Romance is back in the air at Good Theater with Joshua Harmon's bittersweet hit comedy SIGNIFICANT OTHER. SIGNIFICANT OTHER opens March 2nd and plays through March 20th, 2022 at Good Theater's home, the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress Street, Portland. 

The Good Theater reopened its doors last night with a breathtakingly stunning world premiere of Rob Urbinati’s new play LADY SUSAN, directed by Brian P. Allen and James Noel Hoban. Taking its inspiration from Jane Austen, this 21st century work has all the eloquence of an early 19th century classic, as it explores the intricate, timeless mating games that seem as relevant today as they did more than two hundred years ago.

Good Theater will present the world premiere of the acclaimed adaptation of the Jane Austen short novel LADY SUSAN. Directed by Brian Allen and James Noel Hoban, the show stars Brynn Lewallen, Joseph Bearor, Hannah Daly, Jay Mack, Halsey Redman, Amy Roche, and Nathan Gregory.

I don't remember a show moving with such energy, grace, Moe-mentum, musicality and sheer fun. From the moment the Moes materialize until the moment they Moe-sey off stage, this musical is magical, with just the right mix of mayhem, mugging and music.

On Monday, February 2nd at 9:30pm, performers will gather to perform A-Sides: The Songs of Anna K. Jacobs at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

An all-star concert version of Paul Scott Goodman's rock musical Bright Lights, Big City will play two performances at NYC's 54 Below on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 7pm & 9:30pm. Based on the novel by Jay McInerney, Bright Lights, Big City follows a week in the life of Jamie, a successful young writer who loses himself in the chaos of 1980s New York City.

A reading of MY LIFE IS A MUSICAL, a new musical by Adam Overett with direction by Marlo Hunter and music direction by Christopher D. Littlefield, will be presented at the Soho Playhouse at 7:00pm on Monday, February 11, as part of the TRU New Voices Musical Reading Series.

Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook has returned to the Allen Room for its fourteenth season celebrating the diversity of American popular song. For 16 nights the series is exploring the best of the golden age of musical standards through to today's most dynamic songwriting.

York Theatre Company Oh, Coward! and The Mad Show, the next titles in its Summer 2011 Musicals in Mufti Series-the York's acclaimed series of musical theatre gems in staged concert performances. On Monday March 22, Joe's Pub will be presenting Desmon & Feichtner Continue To Disappoint Their Parents, a concert featuring the songbook of Jeremy Desmon and Vadim Feichtner, who have been referred to as the Rogers and Hart of the new millenium. The evening will be directed by Ben Rimalower and produced by Noah Cornman and Sh-k-boom Records.

New York Musical Theater Festival's 2007 'Broadway Idol' winner, George Psomas, takes a night off from his role in the acclaimed revival of South Pacific to take the stage in his solo New York concert debut on Monday August 4th (10 PM) - joined by several special guests including Tony Award nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q) and Jim Stanek (Hero in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, staring with Nathan Lane).
