Matt Dillon, who played 'Dallas Winston' in the original 1983 film, stopped by the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre before opening night.

One of the most exciting things that happens in every December is Theatre Under The Stars annual holiday production. This year, Houstonians are in for a treat with The Enchanted Edition of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. In this fantastic prodution, Houston can witness Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies star, Jason Schmidt. BroadwayWorld sat down with Schmidt to discuss his beginnings, and his life as an actor. 

What I admire most about TUTS is their willingness to cast local Houston talent of all levels, and allowing them to work on a show with musical theater professionals from around the country. They are the soul of Houston theater in many ways, and it is lovely to see them honor that legacy with their holiday show.

The Outsiders is coming to Broadway! The new musical will arrive this season at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre with previews beginning Saturday, March 16, 2024 ahead of a Thursday, April 11, 2024 opening night. What do you need to know until then?

The Paramount+ original series GREASE: RISE OF THE PINK LADIES has been canceled after one season. 

The collection includes 30 original songs created for the series plus “Grease Is the Word,” a modern take on the song “Grease,” which was written by Barry Gibb and performed by Frankie Valli and served as the opening track of the original film. Executive music producer and GRAMMY nominee songwriter Justin Tranter helmed the music and soundtrack.

This show has kicked off with a bang in Bobby’s books and we can’t recommend it highly enough to everyone GREASE fan or newbie alike
