When a former colleague turns up after forty years with a shocking request, three old friends must reckon with their shared culpability in this darkly funny disaster drama. Artistic Director Abigail Adams directs this charming tribute to family dysfunction in which the relationships are ultimately as universal as the humor (Los Angeles Times). Morning's at Seven plays on the Steinbright Stage in Malvern from January 10 through February 4, 2018.

Inspired by Hartman's extensive, first-hand research inside Philly's real-life court system, and cast with seven actresses who play multiple characters, this production represents the first world premiere to emerge from the acclaimed New Play Frontiers Residency & Commission program at People's Light. Each play is a masterwork, pushing the limits of the theatrical art form through poetry, passion and spectacle. In partnership with its diverse audience, built over three years of visceral, actor and text driven progressive classics, Quintessence hopes to further ignite the Philadelphia theatre scene through the essential and complex art of adapting the classics for the contemporary stage.

This year the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts began with the question, 'If you had a time machine, where would you go?' In answer to that, the Painted Bride is taking audiences back to December 5, 1833 and right into the heart of the founding of the Philadelphia Female Anti-Slavery Society. This creation, If She Stood, will run for six performances - Friday, April 26, 2013 at 8pm, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 8pm, and Today, April 28, 2013 at 3pm, followed by Friday, May 3, 2013 at 8pm, Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 8pm and Today May 5, 2013 at 3pm, at the Painted Bride Art Center during the 2013 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts.
