The Wilma Theater announces the extension of its current theatrical run of Becky Shaw by Obie Award-winning playwright and 'Law & Order' television producer and writer Gina Gionfriddo.

The Wilma Theater continues its 2009-2010 Season with the Philadelphia Premiere of Becky Shaw (December 30, 2009 - January 31, 2010), directed by Obie Award-winner Anne Kauffman.

From the Equity Red Carpet entrance to a capacity crowd of theater and business celebrities, the stage was set for an evening of glamour and drama at this year's 15th Annual Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre Ceremony on Monday, October 5 at the Walnut Street Theatre. An international tour de force, Scorched arrives in the U.S. having received more than 100 productions worldwide. It has been translated into a dozen languages and is currently being adapted into a feature film. The Wilma's production ? only the second U.S. production of the play ? begins previews on February 25, opens on March 4, and closes on March 29, 2009.
