Herb Alpert's premiere jazz venue, VIBRATO GRILL JAZZ, presents the return of BMG recording artist, songwriter, and musical theater lyricist Carly Robyn Green to celebrate Valentine's love songs on February 12th, 2020. Her adult-contemporary repertoire includes modern takes on American Songbook standards, fresh renditions of contemporary classics, and original love songs written with Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn.

Actor/singer Scott Dreier needs no introduction. His involvement with The Doris Day Project is amazing and next Sunday he will present The Merry Little Christmas Show for two performances only at the Colony Theatre. In the conversation that follows he talks in depth about both. Tell our readers about your Christmas show. Is this the first time you have done one at Christmas? SD: This is my first official Christmas show! Of course, as a singer, I have been hired many times over the past years to sing for different Christmas and holiday events. And I have always absolutely loved getting to sing these timeless, gorgeous songs. I have always wanted to create a holiday show. And the inspiration for it has been watching those classic Christmas specials of Perry Como, Andy Williams, The Carpenters, etc. No matter how many times I watch those specials during the holidays, it just feels like they are each effortlessly transporting me with them into the cozy comfort of their living rooms.a?? And I wanted to create a show that would honor that feeling that we all get and just help take people

Marcus Performing Arts Center presents a?oeLive at Royal Albert Hall [Revisited]: The Everly Brothers Reunion Concert,a?? a re-creation of the iconic 1983 reunion concert featuring award-winning recording artists Lee Lessack and Johnny Rodgers. After a decade of not speaking to each other, British guitarist Albert Lee was able to bring the Everly Brothers back together in 1983, for what he thought would be a one-off concert at London's Royal Albert Hall. That the reunion lasted for another 26 years was an unexpected, but pleasing, bonus.

Most of the contests in this series have been very close, and the teams are always well-matched and brimming with talent.

On Sunday June 30 jazzpop singer Jane Monheit appeared at Feinstein's Upstairs at Vitello's for an evening, not devoted to any theme or specific composer, but to render an array of her favorite songs. She explained that turning 40 has allowed her the freedom to stretch and perfom in unchartered territory like in musical theatre,  different from her usual jazz and pop programs. It's a form of growth for this extraordinary singer.

The seventh annual 'Night Of A Thousand Judys' - the Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center written and hosted by Justin Sayre - featured the musical talents of two time Tony Award-nominee Christine Andreas (My Fair Lady, Oklahoma!), Nathan Lee Graham (Zoolander, 'LA to Vegas'), Brittain Ashford (The Great Comet of 1812), Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, The Book of Mormon), Julian Fleisher (New York Public Radio), Molly Pope (Cafe Caryle, Adelaide Festival), Kat Cunning (HBO's 'The Deuce,' Company XIV), and Amber Martin (John Cameron Mitchell's The Origin of Love).

 Giants of jazz and the next generation of stars highlight New Jersey Performing Arts Center's (NJPAC) spectacular jazz performances for the 2019-2020 season. This year will mark the eighth annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival which will consist of diverse performances from Nov. 9 - 24.

Los Angeles-based band JEMS will release their debut self-titled album on May 17 (pre-order). We wrote it together recounting our individual experiences with love igniting a spark in a dark or lost time. We have all experienced being on the right side of timing with respective relationships. The song sets a scene that begins in a somewhat slumbered state and steadily builds to an awakening that nature and the movement of the world is sometimes on our side. We love the way we get to share the storytelling of this song musically and lyrically as three individual but connected women.'

Now celebrating its 10th year, the Great American Songbook Foundation's Songbook Academy has announced the new class of national finalists who will participate in the annual summer music intensive July 13-20.
