International City Theatre has announced an “Embracing the Future” season of music, comedy, drama and thrills for 2023.

This season features a remarkable selection of plays, but starts its season with a spectacular reimagining of the operaCarmen with Carmen Jones, music by George Bizet, book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, followed by Patrick Barlow’s imaginative take on the timeless A Christmas Carol, then the Off-Broadway hit Selling Kabul, Lucy Kirkwood’s thought-provoking The Children, and ETC will close its season with an absolutely delicious play from acclaimed playwright Theresa Rebeck, Seared. 

Moonlight Stage Productions will welcome audiences to the renaissance for its third musical of its 2022 season when it produces the hilarious Broadway hit “Something Rotten!” at the Moonlight Amphitheatre, July 20 through August 6 at 8 p.m.

Following the triumphant release of its soundtrack last month and a major appearance at this year's LA Drag Con, Alaska Thunderf**k's 'DRAG: The Musical' is set to come alive this PRIDE month with several hotly anticipated events.

International City Theatre presents the The Legend of Georgia McBride, a crowd-pleasing, music-filled, laugh-out-loud comedy by Matthew Lopez. Performances take place June 10 through June 26 at ICT's home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews are set for June 8 and June 9.

International City Theatre has been honored with three wins and 20 additional nominations for four different productions by longtime theater reviewer Rob Stevens, who has announced his 35th annual “Robby Awards for Excellence in Southern California Theatre.”

 International City Theatre is back in full force with a complete season of five in-person plays scheduled for 2022. The season kicks off in February with Marry Me A Little. 

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is a fairytale favorite brought to life with vibrant singing and performances now playing at Moonlight Theatre through August 7th.

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT are thrilled to present the third show of their 2019-2020 season, the hilariously dark comedy, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, written by Joseph Kesselring and directed by Casey Stangl. ARSENIC AND OLD LACE will preview on Friday, January 24, 2020 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 25 at 8pm) and run through Sunday, February 16, 2020 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.  

International City Theatre opens its 35th anniversary season with a madcap musical salute to the swinging '40s. Written and created by Roger Bean (The Marvelous Wondrettes, Life Could Be A Dream), and with director/choreographer Jamie Torcellini at the helm, The Andrews Brothers opens on Feb. 21 at ICT's home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Performances will continue through March 8, with two low-priced previews set for Feb. 19 and Feb. 20.
