New Adventures has announced full casting and touring dates for 30th Anniversary, newly designed and reimagined production of Matthew Bourne's Nutcracker!  The tour opens at Theatre Royal Plymouth on Monday 15 November 2021 ahead of a Christmas Season at Sadler's Wells, London from Tuesday 7 December 2021 to Sunday 30 January 2022. The tour then continues until April 2022, visiting a total of 14 venues across the UK.

It has endured twenty-five years with the staying power of a new classic -- for very good reason. Bourne has reinvented the swans from maidens who have been turned into beautiful swans by an evil sorcerer, to male swans, summoned by the dreams and desires of a pampered, regimented prince, no sorcerer in sight. Much has been made of this and the homoerotic overtones that appear at times; however, there is much more to it than that as a piece of theater. It is a psychological drama which explores, among other things, celebrity and Royalty in today's world.

Sir Matthew Bourne's 'Swan Lake' has a reputation as a beloved, fascinating, and powerful ballet. The latest production certainly justifies this reputation.

New York City Center today announced casting for Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake. Following runs in Los Angeles and Washington D.C., Bourne's passionate and contemporary Swan Lake will play New York City Center January 30 - February 9, 2020. Casting is set for Matthew Bourne's a?oeSwan Lakea?? from New Adventures, which will be presented by Center Theatre Group at the Ahmanson Theatre December 3, 2019 through January 5, 2020. With direction and choreography by Matthew Bourne and music by Tchaikovsky, a?oeSwan Lakea?? will open on December 5 at 8 p.m.
