On Monday, November 27, 2017, many of the most influential members of NYC's hotel and tourism industries will be treated to a special live performance from The Phantom of the Opera as the Hotel Association of New York City (HANYC) hosts 'The Red Carpet Hospitality Gala,' HANYC's Annual Dinner/Dance.

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group announced today principal cast changes leading up to the 30th Anniversary of the longest-running show in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince. One of the most successful stage productions of all-time, the musical will welcome four principal cast members in the coming months.

If the Bravo 'Housewives' franchise had 'The Real Housewives of Broadway,' Michele McConnell would certainly be a cast member and her opening 'hook' line might be, 'I'm not really a diva, but I play one onstage 8 times a week.'

A TALE OF TWO CITIES, the 2008 Broadway musical currently playing at Centerpoint Legacy Theatre, is redemptive and uplifting as it weaves a tale full of memorable characters. The storytelling and dialogue are sharp, and the score is complex and often achingly beautiful.

The Jane Elissa Extravaganza: An Intimate Evening with Broadway and Daytime Stars will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Manhattan's Marriott Marquis Hotel. The event benefits the Jane Elissa Endowment Fund for Leukemia/Lymphoma Research, as well as Cancer research, Broadway Cares, and other charitable causes.

Bernadette Peters and Malcolm McDowell, co-hosted yesterday's 19th annual dog & cat adoption event, Broadway Barks. The stars turned out to lend a hand to the event, founded by Peters and and Mary Tyler Moore, and to introduce the crowd to some furry new friends for the taking. The 19th annual Broadway Barks, the star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies, will feature celebrities from the hottest shows currently on Broadway. Today's event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). Festivities begin at 3 p.m.; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets take place between 5-6:30 p.m. The rain or shine event is free and open to the public.

Bernadette Peters and Broadway Barks have established the annual Mary Tyler Moore Award, which will be given out each year at the event to an individual or group who has changed the lives of homeless animals in a way that encourages others to do the same.

Meanwhile, you can cast your eyes toward today's photogenic cover models, the lovely and talented Cooper and his human, Nashville actress/designer Ashley Wolfe - both of them are pretty swell, in our estimation (even deserving of a Tony Award), and while we worry about them taking selfies while driving and while catching up on the theatrical news every morning, we are assured they were at a full stop when this photo was snapped. In fact, according to the human member of the duo she hadn't yet turned her key to the on position.

James Barbour was the latest in the line of celebrities to receive an immortalizing caricature that will grace the walls of the iconic Broadway restaurant Sardi's.
