New Musical CHILDREN OF SALT to Receive Concert Presentation at The Metropolitan Room

?In anticipation of its New York presentation with the New York Musical Festival (NYMF) this July, producers Jorge de la Garza and German Cavazos will present a special concert version of the new musical Children of Salt, music by Jaime Lozano and book and lyrics by Lauren Epsenhart, with arrangements & orchestrations by Jesus Altamira and Jaime Lozano, musical direction by Geraldine Anello and musical supervision by Zach Dietz, starring Mauricio Martinez and Florencia Cuenca, on Monday, June 6 at 9:30pm at The Metropolitan Room (34 W 22nd Street). 2016 NYMF Reveals Initial Lineup

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theatre Festival, announced today the initial lineup for NYMF 2016. Among the shows announced in the lineup are the Next Link Project musical selections, as well as invited production selections, developmental reading selections, and concerts. Now in its thirteenth year, the 2016 Festival will take place in July at locations around midtown Manhattan in New York City.

The festival is a music project by Mexican musical theatre director, composer and arranger Jaime Lozano (The Yellow Brick Road Off Boradway) and his life partner Florencia Cuenca. They have put their great passions together: jazz and musical theatre.

Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, has announced that the New York premiere of a new musical, The Memory Show, book and lyrics by Sara Cooper; music by Zach Redler; directed by Joe Calarco, will begin performances Tuesday, April 16, at 7pm at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project, at 229 West 42nd Street. The Memory Show features Catherine Cox and Leslie Kritzer. Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 at 7pm.
