Playhouse on Park to Produce World Premiere of WEBSTER'S BITCH by Jacqueline Bircher This Spring

WEBSTER'S BITCH by Jacqueline Bircher will run at Playhouse on Park May 31 - June 18, 2023. This production will be directed by Vanessa Morosco. WEBSTER'S BITCH is a part of Playhouse on Park's 14th Main Stage Season, the theme of which is Perseverance. This season highlights stories of fighters and survivors, to coincide with the Playhouse's journey of persevering through the pandemic.

Rehearsals are underway for the upcoming new Broadway play, Good Night, Oscar starring Sean Hayes. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Doug Wright and directed by Lisa Peterson, Good Night, Oscar begins performances on April 7 and opens on April 24 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre.

Jerry Torre's THE MARBLE FAUN OF GREY GARDENS Film Adaptation in the Works

A film adaptation of Jerry Torre and Tony Maietta's The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens memoir is in the works. Torre was named 'The Marble Faun' by Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edith Bouvier Beale, mostly known as Big Edie and Little Edie through the iconic 1975 documentary, Grey Gardens.

Directed with intricacy and precision by Tatyana Marie-Carlo, 'The Inferior Sex' takes place in 1972, when Vietnam, Watergate and women's lib dominated the headlines, and Shirley Chisholm (portrayed with an eloquent ferocity by Jackie Davis), the first Black woman elected to Congress, is making a historic bid for President of the United States.

The complete cast is announced for the Houston premiere of the history-making production of To Kill a Mockingbird, Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin's new play, directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher and based on Harper Lee's classic novel. The production is scheduled to play April 25-30, 2023 as part of the Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center 2022-2023 Season.
