The National Theatre's production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has this week welcomed a new cast to the West End production at the Gielgud Theatre. Earlier this month the play was one of the big winners at the Tony Awards® in New York, winning 5 awards including Best New Play. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time recently extended booking in London, releasing over 120,000 tickets and is now booking until 13 February 2016.

Tickets went on sale today for the 2015-16 Australian tour of the world's favourite musical, The Sound of Music. The lavish London Palladium production will commence in Sydney at the Capitol Theatre on 13 December this year, followed by a season at Brisbane's Lyric Theatre from 11 March, 2016.

Star of 'Breaking Down the Riffs,' Natalie Weiss, with Addi McDaniel and Jacqueline Kerrod will perform at NYC's Highline Ballroom on July 13 at 8pm. Tickets are $25-$50, and can be purchased by clicking here or at the door.

Everyone's favorite upside-down fairytale comes to Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) when they present SHREK The Musical, a song-and dance-filled stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film. The Board of Directors of The Music Center announced today that Rachel S. Moore, an accomplished leader in the performing arts, has been named president and CEO of The Music Center. Moore joins The Music Center from American Ballet Theatre (ABT), one of the world's great dance companies, where she served as CEO since 2012 and as its executive director since 2004. Moore comes from the performing arts, having danced with ABT as a member of its corps de ballet 1984-1988. She will assume her new position with The Music Center on October 5, 2015.

Almost as long as there has been photography, performers have used portraits to represent themselves for casting and promotion. In the new exhibition Head Shots: Performer Portraits from Daguerreotype to Digital, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center in Lincoln Center showcases its vast collection of head shots to illustrate the photos' role in the casting and marketing process, as well as how these pictures evolved alongside modern technology. Head Shots is currently on display in The Library for the Performing Arts' Vincent Astor Gallery, Shelby Cullom Davis Museum through August 8, 2015. 

New York, NY…Demisch Danant is pleased to announce that it will present Radical Rabat: Nomadic French Style of the 1970s in its stand (G12) at Design Miami/Basel, from today, June 16 through 21, 2015. The exhibition aims to capture the essence of French design of the 1970s, a period in which designers were particularly influenced by the art, craft, architecture, and nomadic cultures of the Arab world. Radical Rabat brings together rare and important works by Sheila Hicks, Michel Boyer, Maria Pergay, and Pierre Paulin – creators who drew inspiration from both the traditions and international cosmopolitan scenes of such places as Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
