2020 Pittsburgh Humanities Festival Programming Line-up Announced

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and The Humanities Center at Carnegie Mellon University have announced the complete programming lineup for the fifth Pittsburgh Humanities Festival, taking place March 20-22, 2020 at locations throughout the Cultural District. The Festival brings together internationally-renowned academics, artists, and intellectual innovators offering interviews, intimate conversations, and select performances focused on art, literature, music, science, policy, politics, and morea?"all in a lively, entertaining, accessible format in the Cultural District. HIGH MAINTENANCE Returns to HBO on February 7

The HBO comedy series HIGH MAINTENANCE, created by Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair, returns for its nine-episode fourth season FRIDAY, FEB. 7 (11:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT). The critically acclaimed series uses The Guy (Sinclair), a marijuana dealer, to connect a variety of distinctly authentic, empathetic and insightful stories about the New York community, including his own. 

Paula Vogel and Daryl Roth Will Be Honored at Vineyard Theatre 2020 Gala

Vineyard Theatre's Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern and Managing Director Suzanne Appel announce that the company's 2020 Gala fundraiser will celebrate Tony Award-winning producer Daryl Roth and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel. The annual benefit Gala will take place on Monday, April 20, 2020, beginning at 6:00pm at 583 Park Avenue. Vineyard Theatre Board Member Sally Horchow will chair the event.

Jacqueline Novak: Get On Your Knees, written by and starring Jacqueline Novak, has extended its limited run to October 6th, due to overwhelming ticket sales and rave reviews. This will be the final extension and the show must close on that date. The show, 'a standup comedy set that inclines towards theater (New York Times),' plays the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Hudson and Bleecker Streets), having transferred from the Cherry Lane Theatre, where the whole run sold out. Jacqueline Novak: Get on Your Knees is presented by Natasha Lyonne, and executive produced by Mike Birbiglia. Mike Lavoie, Carlee Briglia and Abingdon Theatre Company are producers.
