TheatreWorks Silicon Valley presents a new look at the cherished comic drama Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling. A tight-knit group of Southern women flock to Truvy's beauty parlor, where its occupants dish gossip, do hair, and provide strength and support through life's joys and tragedies.

McCarter Theater will welcome audiences to Pearl Cleage's love letter to friendship and the Harlem Renaissance, BLUES FOR AN ALABAMA SKY, on stage in the Berlind Theatre May 6th through the 28th. The play marks the McCarter directorial debut of Associate Artistic Director Nicole A. Watson.

]Intiman Theatre has announced that Amy Thone and Varinique 'V' Davis will co-star in the Seattle premiere production of The Niceties by Eleanor Burgess, directed by Sheila Daniels and associate director Jasmine Lomax. The play will be staged in the round at the Erickson Theatre (1524 Harvard Ave. Seattle WA 98122) as part of Intiman's residency at Seattle Central College, showing April 18-29, 2023. Originally performed solo by Smith, “Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992” has been reimagined for a cast of five performers. Thirty years after its world premiere, Center Theatre Group will celebrate the West Coast premiere of the revised production by giving away 1,000 tickets to Angelenos.

With 2023 comes ACT’s 47th World Premiere play, History of Theatre: About, By, For, and Near, a boldly theatrical, thought-provoking exploration of the lives of those who’ve paved the way for the American theatre we have today.

The Guthrie Theater today announced the cast and creative team for Blues for an Alabama Sky by Pearl Cleage, directed by Nicole A. Watson. Blues for an Alabama Sky will play January 28 – March 12, 2023, on the Wurtele Thrust Stage.

Intiman Theatre and The Williams Project have announced the cast and creative team for their co-production of Lorraine Hansberry's The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window, the first professional production in Seattle. All ticket tiers are now available for the play which will show February 7-25, 2023 at the Erickson Theatre (1524 Harvard Ave. Seattle 98122) as part of Intiman's residency at Seattle Central College. 

Celebrate the laughter and joy of the holidays with a special box office opening of Pictures From Home beginning Monday, December 19 at Studio 54 on Broadway, coinciding with the beginning of Hanukkah.     

Tickets are now on sale for the Broadway premiere of Pictures From Home. Three of the theatre’s most inventive, inspired and award-winning artists will return to the stage, bringing to vivid theatrical life a comic and dramatic portrait of a mother, a father and the son who photographed their lives.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Andrew Burnap will be Arthur, Phillipa Soo will be Guenevere, and Jordan Donica will be Lancelot Du Lac in its new version of Lerner & Loewe's Camelot, a fresh take on the classic tale.

Signature Theatre will present Quiara Alegría Hudes’ My Broken Language, the acclaimed playwright’s stage adaptation of her eponymous memoir, and her return to Signature for the second play in her Premiere Residency. My Broken Language takes place Oct 18-Nov 27, 2022 in the Pershing Square Signature Center’s Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre.

This spring, Intiman Theatre will produce the Seattle premiere of The Niceties by Eleanor Burgess. Frequent Intiman collaborator and former Associate Director Sheila Daniels will direct and Seattle favorite Amy Thone will co-star. Additional casting information will be released this winter.
