Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) is excited to announce the addition of Philip Carlson to its National Advisory Board.  Mr. Carlson assisted RLTP this season in kicking off its Screen to Stage reading series. The organization is grateful for his involvement with the series and looks forward to working with him for seasons to come.

Lincoln Center Theater Announces INTIMATE APPAREL Opera Written By Lynn Nottage and Ricky Ian Gordon; Directed by Bartlett Sher

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced that it will produce Intimate Apparel, a new opera with music by Ricky Ian Gordon and a libretto by Lynn Nottage, based on her critically acclaimed play.  The production, which will be directed by Bartlett Sher, will begin previews Thursday, February 27 and open on Monday, March 23 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation Launches Podcast To Celebrate New York Theatre

The Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation today announced the debut of their first-ever podcast focused on Off-Broadway and the arts, entitled "Live at the Lortel." The first round of conversations will be recorded over two dates in June at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in the West Village, to be released in July. Totem Pole Playhouse, America's summer theatre, located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, has announced a major change in its programming format starting this summer. Beginning May 31st through September 8th, a new 5-show summer subscription series will be offered. The new format will allow Totem Pole to offer a wider variety of offerings beyond the limited productions which the Playhouse produces. In addition to the new 5-show offering there will be several "Friday Fun Nights" throughout the summer which will include family movie night sing-alongs complete with picnic dinners and solo shows featuring performers from Broadway and Television.

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra's Bravo Brass Ensemble Showcased At 16th Annual Festival Concert

The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra's Bravo Brass ensemble will take to the stage for their 16th Annual Festival Concert on Saturday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will take place in the beautiful St. Mark's Church, 1625 Locust Street in Philadelphia, PA. Entitled Brand New Brass, the program will feature music composed or arranged over the last 20 years including works commissioned by the ensemble in the past. The concert will also include the world premiere of Bravos, a new composition by Patrick Hoffman as well as Bravo Brass faculty member Barry McCommon joining the group as soloist in A Very Barry Fantasy by Jamie Wehr.

American Black Film Festival Announces the Emerging Directors and Music in Motion Showcase Selections

The Emerging Directors and Music in Motion Showcase selections have been announced for the 23rdAnnual American Black Film Festival (ABFF), taking place June 12-16 in Miami.  These programs were launched with the aim of increasing diverse representation in the entertainment industry and are set to screen from June 13-15 at the Regal Cinemas South Beach.
