The Barrow Group to Present World Premiere of Scott Organ's 17 MINUTES

The Barrow Group, under the leadership of Co-Artistic Directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock and Executive Director Robert Serrell, will present the world premiere 17 Minutes, a spellbinding new play by Scott Organ (Phoenix) that takes an intimate look at how gun violence reverberates across a community. Directed by Seth Barrish (Director of Mike Birbiglia's The New One), 17 Minutes is scheduled to run at The Barrow Group Mainstage Theatre (312 West 36th St) from January 10 through February 15 with an opening set for January 22.

TUTA Theatre Announces HEDDA GABLER: A Play With Live Music At Strawdog Theatre Company

TUTA Theatre is pleased to present the world premiere adaptation of HEDDA GABLER: A Play with Live Music, adapted and directed by Artistic Director Jacqueline Stone, with original music and music direction by Wain Parham, based on the play by Henrik Ibsen. Featuring TUTA company member Lauren Demerath in the title role of Hedda, HEDDA GABLER will play February 25 a?" March 29, 2020 at Strawdog Theatre Company, 1802 W. Berenice Ave. in Chicago. Full casting will be announced shortly. Tickets go on sale Sunday, December 1 at www.tutatheatre.org. The press opening is Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 7:30 pm.

BEST OF ROB VAN VUUREN Will Come to The Drama Factory

Rob van Vuuren is a household name in South Africa, he is Twakkie from the Most Amazing Show, the guy who shucksed Shuster in Shucks Tshabalala, the record breaking winner of Strictly Come Dancing, the voice of Takeshi's Castle Thailand on Comedy Central Africa, Van from Van Der Merwe and the star of a host of other film and television shows. He is a multi award winning comedian, having bagged no less than four Standard Bank Ovation Awards for comedy and the Breakthrough Act Award winner at the Comics Choice Awards. He has filmed two Comedy Central Africa specials. He was a finalist in the 2017 You Spectacular Awards in the Category SA's favorite comedian and his career has taken him to stages all over the country as well as Perth, London, Brighton, Amsterdam, Dubai, Brighton and Edinburgh.

BWW Review: A DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2 Opens At The Unicorn Theatre In Kansas City

A DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2 opened Saturday October 19 on the Jerome Stage of the Unicorn Theatre and runs through November 10. Darren Sextro who directed A DOLL'S HOUSE at the City Stage, where it was produced by the Kansas City Actor's Theatre directs the sequel which takes place 15 years after the end of the original play.

BWW Review: A DOLL'S HOUSE at Iowa Stage: Opening a New Season with a Slam!

In 1879, a door slam was heard around the world when Henrik Ibsen's 'A Doll's House' concluded for the first time. While the play is known for its ending, Iowa Stage is using it to open two new beginning for them, the beginning of a new season, and the beginning of a new location. I feel that this added to the buzz and excitement for 'A Doll's House,' and the upcoming 'A Doll's House: Part 2' being done in repertoire. The combination of a new performance space and a new season made this a dazzling evening of theatre.
