The 50th Anniversary production of iconic Rock 'n' Roll musical The Rocky Horror Show has kicked off global celebrations at Theatre Royal Sydney thrilling audiences and critics alike, and in an Australian first, will be broadcast live from the stage of Theatre Royal Sydney into cinemas across the country for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Thursday 30 March.

The Argyle Theatre's production of West Side Story, directed by Evan Pappas and Todd Underwood, choreographed by Todd Underwood, with musical direction by Christopher D. Littlefield opened last night, Saturday, February 11, 2023, and BroadwayWorld was there for the festivities. The production runs through April 2nd. Check out photos from the evening here!

MasterVoices continues its eclectic 2022-23 season on March 23 at Central Synagogue with Ted Sperling leading O How Good, a performance of Jewish sacred music. The program includes two beloved works of traditional Jewish liturgy set by master composers – Ernest Bloch's Sacred Service and Kurt Weill's Kiddush – as well as the world premiere of And the Sun Goes Up, a new work by Israeli-American composer Daniel Rein, commissioned by MasterVoices.

ROCKY HORROR Superfan Sal Piro Dies at 71

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Sal Piro, a Rocky Horror Picture Show superfan who was integral in creating the film's cult fanbase, has died at 71. Piro helped create the film's audience participation routines that are still used during screenings of the musical movie.

The 50th Anniversary production of iconic Rock 'N' Roll musical The Rocky Horror Show has confirmed the final cast members for its Australian Tour which kicks off global celebrations at Theatre Royal Sydney on February 14 before seasons at Adelaide Festival Theatre from April 13 and Melbourne's Atheneum Theatre from May 18. Full casting for the Adelaide season will be confirmed soon.
