The Shubert box office opened on Monday December 6th for MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT. Ticket buyers who braved the cold received a free snack of Hormel's new golden honey grail flavor, created to celebrate SPAMALOT's imminent arrival on Broadway.
Broadway-bound MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, a new musical lovingly ripped off from the motion picture 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail,' is being honored by Hormel Foods with the introduction of a limited edition flavor, SPAM golden honey grail in a 'SPAMALOT collector's edition' can. 'SPAM is the holy grail of canned meats,' says Eric Idle, Python alum and the show's lyricist and book writer. 'We're thrilled to dine on SPAM golden honey grail at the round table of SPAMALOT.'
The first chance to buy tickets to Monty Python's SPAMALOT will be Wednesday evening November 10 when American Express will make a special offer to Gold Card holders for the best seats for the Broadway engagement of the eagerly-anticipated new musical.
The producers of Monty Python's SPAMALOT announced today that the Broadway dates will be rescheduled to accommodate a week-long extension in Chicago. Previews at Broadway's Shubert Theatre will now begin on February 14 2005; the show will open on March 17 2005.
The Chicago engagement will now run through January 23 2005. Previews will begin there on December 21 2004 at Chicago's Shubert Theatre.
Mike Nichols and David Hyde Pierce, both part of the eagerly anticipated Broadway-bound musical, MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, were big winners last night at the Emmy Awards.
