Black Arts MKE's beloved holiday musical returns for its seventh year with its biggest and best production to date. Black Nativity by Langston Hughes runs one weekend only - December 8-11, 2022, at the Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall, Marcus Center.

Sarasota Jewish Theatre has announced its 2022-23 season lineup. Local Sarasota favorite actors and directors will be joined by national actors to present these plays reflecting Jewish heritage and culture. The plays are:

Funny Girl star Tovah Feldshuh will recur as Bat Lady in Prime Video's new series, Shelter. The character is described as a reclusive, ghostlike figure who gives Mickey (Jaden Michael) a mysterious and disturbing piece of news. The cast also include Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Abby Corrigan, Sage Linder, and Brian Altemus.

Eleven award-winning movies will be featured as part of the 22nd Kansas City Jewish Film Festival (KCJFF), presented by The Lewis and Shirley White Theatre at The Jewish Community Center (The J).

Beloved psychologist Dr. Ruth Westheimer celebrates her 94th birthday this June, and in celebration, six-time Tony- and Emmy-nominated actor Tovah Feldshuh and the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will present a special virtual broadcast of the one-woman Off-Broadway show, Becoming Dr. Ruth.

The Bar Assoc. of Erie County's History Committee and the Women's Bar Assoc. of the State of NY - WNY Chapter’s Public Sector & Not-for-profit Committee have partnered with Second Generation Theatre Company to recreate the story of the illegal vote cast by Susan B. Anthony in the presidential election of 1872.

Milwaukee Rep has announced the True Colors' Next Narrative Monologue Competition Milwaukee Regional finalists who will compete in the National Finals onstage at Harlem's Apollo Theater in New York on May 2, 2022. 

Milwaukee Rep hosts The Next Narrative Monologue Competition (formerly the August Wilson Monologue Competition) a new, national program for high school students featuring the work of contemporary Black playwrights. 

Kicking off the month on January 1st is the 1945 musical comedy film Ziegfeld Follies, featuring Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Fanny Brice, Lena Horne and more. The How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying film, based on the musical of the same name, is set to debut on January 4th.

Tovah is now bringing her tour-de-force performance as the famed sex therapist in Mark St. Germain's 'Becoming Dr. Ruth' Off-Broadway.

Helen Mirren has been named the 57th recipient of SAG-AFTRA's highest tribute: the SAG Life Achievement Award. Mirren appeared as Queen Elizabeth II on Broadway in The Audience, a play by Peter Morgan, directed by Stephen Daldry,winning the 2015 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role

Six-time Tony and Emmy nominee Tovah Feldshuh will return to Boca Raton's Mizner Park Cultural Center on Saturday October 16th and Sunday October 17th for three performances of her acclaimed one woman show Tovah is LEONA! The show, in which Feldshuh assumes the persona of real estate mogul and hotelier Leona Helmsley, played to sold-out houses in January 2019.

Milwaukee Rep has announced the continuation of the Professional Training Institute (PTI), an advanced actor training program for students in 9-12 grade.  The class of 2021/22 will consist of 15 students from 10 different high schools.

Returning to the stage in New York City this fall, six-time Tony- and Emmy-nominated actor Tovah Feldshuh will star in a tour-de-force theatrical show Becoming Dr. Ruth, presented Off-Broadway at Edmond J. Safra Hall at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.
