Broadway in Bryant Park is back! 106.7 LITE FM's popular series brought the best of Broadway and Off-Broadway together for FREE performances, for six consecutive weeks, concluding yesterday, August 15.

Rescripted is thrilled to announce the third session of The Key: Young Critics Mentorship Program, September 25 a?" December 4 and hosted for the second year at Steppenwolf Theater, 1650 N. Halsted. Regina Victor, founder of the online arts journalism platform Rescripted, and entertainment critic Oliver Sava created the 10-week training program for Chicago youth in arts criticism. In league with The Chicago Inclusion Project, The Key has successfully held two sessions, educating young writers on the skills and industry knowledge needed to pursue careers in arts criticism. Alumni of The Key have written for outlets like Chicago Reader, Howlround, The Windy City Times, and Rescripted. 

The Philly POPS will hold its Seventh Annual POPS Ball gala on September 12 at The Bellevue Hotel. This year's POPS Ball, titled a?oeOver the Rainbow,a?? will celebrate the TOPS of the POPS 41st Anniversary season with Wizard-of-Oz-themed emerald flair.

Broadway actors Julia Haubner and Ian Saraceni have joined the cast of The Perfect Fit, a new family musical featuring book, music and lyrics by twelve-year-old musical sensation Joshua Turchin (The Little Mermaid Live-To-Film, Forbidden Broadway Salutes Carol Channing, A Christmas Story National Tour, TrevorLive, The Pill). The production will be making its world premiere in a staged developmental production that will run August 11 - 23 as part of the Rave Theater Festival.

The North American tour of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning hit musical Beautiful - The Carole King Musical will welcome Kennedy Caughell (Carole King), James D. Gish (Gerry Goffin), Kathryn Boswell(Cynthia Weil), James Michael Lambert (Barry Mann), Matt Loehr (Don Kirshner) and Rachel Coloff (Genie Klein) to the Company beginning September 20 in Utica, NY.

Today, Pop TV, now fully owned by CBS Corporation, announced it has picked up a second season of FLACK, a drama with darkly comedic situations set in the world of high-stakes celebrity public relations that stars Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner and Emmy-nominated actress Anna Paquin (True Blood, The Affair on SHOWTIME®). Six episodes of FLACK, a co-production with UKTV's W Network, have been ordered with production beginning today in London. Executive Producer Stephen Moyer will make his series directorial debut with two episodes.

Rinse, Repeat, a new play written by Domenica Feraud (Betafish) and directed by Kate Hopkins (The Pool Skimmer) celebrated its opening night this week at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.
