Cirque du Soleil and The Madison Square Garden Company (NYSE: MSG) announced today the casting and creative team for the all-new, family production, 'Twas the Night Before... making its debut at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden this holiday season. 'Twas the Night Before... is an exhilarating spin on the beloved Christmas classic as only Cirque du Soleil could imagine. This festive show about the wonders of sharing and friendship promises to spark lasting memories in the hearts of families this holiday season. The production will run at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden from December 12 through December 29, 2019, for 28 performances. Tickets are on-sale now.

'Twas the Night Before... is an exhilarating spin on the beloved Christmas classic as only Cirque du Soleil could imagine. This festive show about the wonders of sharing and friendship promises to spark lasting memories in the hearts of families this holiday season. The production makes its World Premiere at The Chicago Theatre, 175 N. State Street, from November 29 through December 8, 2019 for 17 performances. Tickets are on sale now.

Brenda Braxton, Javier Colon, Adam Kantor, Cassandra Kubinski, Beth Leavel, Bonnie Milligan, Christine Pedi, and Paige Price came together for Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening benefiting the Humane Society of New York, last night, October 14, at Feinstein's/ 54 Below. The evening honored Andy Karl and Orfeh, who were awarded the Humane Society of New York's Sandy Fund Award in recognition of their deep concern and support of the needs of rescued animals.

BWW Review: MATILDA at Fairfield Center Stage

Opening night of Roald Dahl's MATILDA, as presented by Fairfield Center Stage, at Fairfield Ludlowe High School Auditorium yielded a large audience with profound applause.  With book by Dennis Kelly and music & lyrics by Tim Minchin, numerous differences from the Roald Dahl book or movie adaptation can be found in the stage production.   Perhaps the most spectacular of these is seeing an object on stage appear to move by itself, and writing on a board seeming to magically appear, concepts that can be written about or adapted to screen, but in those formats can never quite mesmerize people to the degree that these meticulously performed stage effects dazzled the live audience in this production.

Puccini's Il Trittico is a triple-bill of one-act operas that, when staged together as the composer intended, provides an emotional roller coaster of an evening. Il Trittico is presented October 17, 19, 25, 2019 at 8 pm, and October 23 at 7 pm, with a matinee October 27 at 2:30 pm.
