THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present the return of The Real Housewives of New York: The Parody Musical on Friday, June 16 at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

We're rounding up all of the shows from this season that are either currently on tour, or have announced they will embark on tour soon. If you're hoping to catch your favorite show from this season in a city near you, look no further!

Here in Orlando, we are lucky to be a stop for many Broadway tours and also very fortunate that these get to play in the magnificent Dr. Phillips Center For the Performing Arts. But rarely do we have the chance to see a limited run of an acclaimed Broadway musical with much of its original cast in place. But next week, we have just that chance when Stephen Sondheim’s INTO THE WOODS lands in Orlando, fresh off a successful run on Broadway and original production at City Center ENCORES!. One of those cast members who has been a part of the production from the very beginning is Cole Thompson, who plays the young lad, Jack. I had a chance to catch up with Cole and learn about his take on the role and his exciting journey with INTO THE WOODS.

What did our critic think of INTO THE WOODS at Tennessee Performing Arts Center? The star-studded cast is led by Tony Award winner Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus as The Baker’s Wife and the Baker respectively. They’re a real-life couple, so their chemistry is justly wonderful, but I cannot express how amazing their individual performances are as well.

Truth be told, this may be the most impressive assemblage of talent we’ve ever encountered on the Jackson Hall stage in our 30-some years of reviewing Broadway at TPAC. Seriously.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present Liz McCartney, the celebrated stage veteran currently appearing in the Broadway revival of Funny Girl, for two performances on Sunday, June 25 at 9:30 PM and Sunday, July 2 at 7:00 PM.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 has announced that the Lady Bunny show “Don’t Bring the Kids,” an hour of jokes and demented song parodies from the New York drag legend, has extended its run due to popular demand.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present the New York solo concert debut of beloved Broadway veteran Janine LaManna in “Black & Gold” for two shows on Saturday, June 10 and Monday, June 26, both at 7:00 PM.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present NYC drag royalty Flotilla DeBarge in the special Pride evening “A Big Hunk of Ghetto” on Thursday, June 1 at 7:00 PM.

Spin Cycle has announced an extension of the World Premiere of A GAGA GUIDE TO THE LOWER EAST SIDE, a unique immersive theater experience that blends actual historical walking tour, theatrical character monologue and current celebrity worship culture.

Second Stage Theater will present TOROS, written by Danny Tejera and directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, this summer at Second Stage Theater Uptown.

What did our critic think of INTO THE WOODS at James M. Nederlander Theatre?

I interviewed Tony Award winner Gavin Creel about his experience as The Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince in the national tour of Stephen Sondheim’s INTO THE WOODS. The production started as a City Center Encores staging and later transferred to Broadway. Now, Chicago audiences can see the tour — with some of the original Broadway company, including Gavin himself— through May 7.
