Broadway On Demand will stream Gingold Theatrical Group's Mrs. Warren’s Profession starring Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba as Mrs. Warren and Robert Cuccioli, beginning tomorrow Tuesday June 21st, for a limited time only - through June 27th only.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem, a professional theater company that has brought audiences Black artistic excellence for over two decades, announced casting today for its upcoming production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night at Marcus Garvey Park in East Harlem July 5-29.

David Staller, Artistic Director of Gingold Theatrical Group, today announced that GTG has forged a new partnership with the preeminent online streaming service, Broadway On Demand, to allow patrons to purchase and stream their recent acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Bernard Shaw's Mrs. Warren’s Profession.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Burry Fredrik Foundation championing the growth and continuing health of Connecticut's non-profit professional producing theaters. Since 2012, the Foundation has granted over $3 million to a dozen Connecticut theaters with a proven track record of accomplishments. In 2022, $500,000 will be awarded. The Foundation was established by Burry Fredrik (1925-2012), a Tony Award-winning producer and noted director, who lived in Weston, CT.

The Burry Fredrik Foundation has announced projection designer Camilla Tassi as the recipient of the 2022 Burry Fredrik Design Fellowship and its $25,000 award.

Baltimore Center Stage announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of R. Eric Thomas’ The Folks at Home. This is the theater’s third Mainstage production of the 2021/22 Season and includes an all-star cast and a bold-name creative team.  

Hartford Stage rings in the holiday season with a new production of the perennial holiday film classic, It's a Wonderful Life. In this stage adaptation, Connecticut playwright Joe Landry has refashioned the 1946 Jimmy Stewart movie into a play reminiscent of the Golden Age of Radio.

Marking its first live theatrical production since 2019, Westport Country Playhouse will stage “Doubt: A Parable,” winner of 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award® for Best Play, from November 2 through November 20. A

Ma-Yi has announced programming for its Spring 2021 season which includes collaborations with artists in China, the Philippines, and Japan. The season, running February 11–May 3, 2021, illustrates that by putting artists and craftspeople to work, despite the coronavirus pandemic, innovation and compelling storytelling can thrive.

YALE SCHOOL OF DRAMA introduces the 2020 Class of scenic, costume, lighting, sound, and projection designers, who matriculated this week. A showcase of these artists' work will be held in New York when conditions allow. More information will be shared online at drama.yale.edu/designshowcase2020 when possible.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will bring Shakespeare's CYMBELINE, directed by Carl Cofield, on tour for the first time ever to venues across the city in a free four-week tour (April 16-May 15), as part of The Public's commitment to bringing free theater to all and deepening its engagement with communities across the five boroughs. The Mobile Unit's free tours bring Shakespeare and other works to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts by visiting correctional facilities, homeless shelters, social service organizations, and other community organizations. Following the tour to the five boroughs, there will also be a free three-week engagement of CYMBELINE in The Public's Shiva Theater running Monday, May 18 through Sunday, June 7, with an official press opening on Thursday, May 21.
